The Blues are set to begin their campaign against a formidable opponent. Liverpool and Chelsea are set to meet for the first time to kick-off their 2023/2024 campaign on Sunday.

It is by no means an easy start for both clubs, as they are amongst the big six clubs in the Premier League. Liverpool have been impressive during the preseason games, and it is worthy to note that they would be heading into this game searching for the first 3-points of the season.

Chelsea have also had an incredible preseason. New manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has shaped the squad and has added some attacking power which they lacked last season. The Blues were the winners of the Premier League summer series, and would be looking for their first win of the campaign.

Mauricio Pochettino's men will not want a repeat of last season, as Chelsea recorded their second worst season ever in the Premier League. There were a lot of changes made in the club, so it was expected that the results would not go their way.

This season is looking much better, especially after the results in the preseason. However, bad news has struck the Chelsea camp as it was reported that Christopher Nkunku will be out for quite some time. He was a key player in their preseason success.

What Chelsea Fans Should Expect On Sunday Against Liverpool
The game is going to be a tough one, as both teams will battle it out to get the first win of the season.

Chelsea fans are optimistic that they would pull one over Premier League giants, Liverpool, but that is easier said than done.

Jurgen Klopp's men seem to have gotten solutions to their last season slip up, and they are looking revitalized heading into the new season.

Chelsea fans should expect more difficulty in this game though because of the injury to Christopher Nkunku. Noted, Nicolas Jackson still played a major role, but with Nkunku out of the game, he would be a sole target for the Liverpool defenders.

Liverpool's defense also has a few leaks that Jürgen Klopp has been unable to plug. Perhaps it's because of how he likes to play, but if Mauricio Pochettino can find a way to get behind the Liverpool lines, then Chelsea should not have much to worry about.

The main concern is Liverpool's attack, and considering they are all fit, Chelsea are set to concede some goals on Sunday.

It remains a tough one and time will tell which club will come out on top, but for now, it is looking like Liverpool will be the winners of the game on Sunday.
