giselle237: I empathise with your situation. Concentrate on going for your course. I doubt with a salary of 120k she will be given a visa + knowing fully well that her husband is in the UK on student visa(for a course about 1 year) the ECO knows her ties are more to the UK and she will not come back. There’s a reason they decided to stop the student dependency policy. Also student visa ideally is for you to go for your course and come back in about 9 months. So it’s assumed you should round up and return to Nigeria. They will judge her on the balance of probabilities. So get into school and work on getting a skilled work visa at the end of your course. In that way you can bring her in as a dependent or PHD course which can bring in dependents Thanks so much for your response... So what of the case that ..let's say I am not in the picture....and she plans to travel to UK for a visit ...what would you have adviced... |

Atinukemi23:
For anyone who cares. Biometrics 7th of June standard visitor family of 4
Decision was made on the 24th of June but was emailed some minutes ago ( refused ) based on financial grounds even though there were a lot of evidence provided but oops if they want to refuse you they will find a reason to. The application was for my aunt and her kids in which I invited them. Home office and their palava. Good luck to everyone. l We challenged the ECO decision last month for reconsideration, like I said previously it is not all the ECO that knows what he or she is doing, some roasted me for that statement, I have seen so many refusals that made absolute no sense, they are humans, they have hormones too we have the bad eggs among them who just refuse you based on flimsy excuse(s). I didn’t take the second refusal likely, as there was no difference between the previous refusal which was last year, and the this recent one and it is based on financial grounds( enough sufficient funds with proof). (Looked more like a copy and paste to me ) Pre action protocol (PAP) was sent to the home office giving them 14days to reconsider before taking it further to court for JR. They responded on the 14th day and yes a senior caseworker in his/ her right senses looked at the evidence submitted and he/she did agreed it was sufficient enough to grant the entry clearance visiting visa in the first place. If we had accepted fate and re - apply the third time it MAY be refused again and that is too much dent, although they claim every new application(s) is decided based on its merit but I do not want to believe they do not look at your past history with them in concluding. So fingers crossed on when my aunt and her children will be asked to bring their passports, it shouldn’t take up to 3months sha. Sometimes you just have to push some buttons. Don’t let the refusal bring you down, but first, do the right thing. And good luck to everyone. |

This could go on to six months though. My solicitor sent a PAP in October 2022, they replied after three months(January 2023) with another re-refusal(Reasons different from the initial ones). We sent another PAP in February (2023) and they replied in May(2023) agreeing with the challenge and granting the visa. It was a very long and daunting process. If I had reapplied without challenging, It would have been refused on some flimsy grounds. Wishing them the best Atinukemi23: l

It says they'll be contacted within 3 months with the outcome. Does it mean it was approved as it doesn't expressly state this. I understood it as the decision will be reviewed in the next 3 months following the information your legal rep shared they'll be contacted with a decision. Thanks for sharing this. It's always interesting to see how refusals are overturned. Atinukemi23: l

Did you get an email to have your passport resubmitted to TLS ? And how long after you submitted it was the visa issued ? We keeping our fingers crossed also, no matter how long it takes we are so willing to wait, than to risk re- applying and chances of refusing it is higher this present PAP took 14days exactly for them to allow the re - consideration. Apparently we gave 14days PAP notice for re - consideration and if they had not reply within the 14days we would have pushed forward for JR in court. So they basically looked at the evidence before them and look at the rules of law that was raised and they did agree that a reconsideration on the refusal should be permitted, they could have come back to tell us they are not re-considering it and we should go to any court here on Earth or beyond as they won’t overturn it. So from now and the next three months they may or not ask for more evidence or they may ask them to go and submit their passports. But if they come up with another refusal/rejection after this re-consideration and if it is challengeable we definitely going to but if not, we will re - apply and that gives us a good edge and also with this PAP history on record and we may Submit more evidence(s) to show madness full ground ( lol) but we are hoping that won’t be the case. So we are patiently waiting. I will definitely keep in touch with the outcome so to help others who are willing or not sure about going through this ROUTE. |

Hello. Please I need help with how I can track my UK visa application. Thanks. Blessedsteph: Update!!!!!
Received a rejection email for one of the kids. Apparently she was banned few years ago so automatic denial for her. Her mother said she was unaware of the ban as they used an agent then and he only told them the visa was denied but she can’t remember seeing the denial letter. No update on the 2nd child yet. Tracking shows received by DMC.

Cashmadam:
You can do a cover letter and pay to upload the letter as part of your supporting documents - when you go for biometrics.
If you've done the biometrics, I would advise you to pray and wait it out. You might get lucky My biometrics is Wednesday 16th August. I choose self-service and I am yet to upload all my document. I’m considering writing the letter as you advised and join it with the application before finally uploading all my documents on Mon/Tuesday next week. Or do you advise I apply for assisted service and pay to TLS to upload? |

My mom’s visa is out - Standard Application Biometrics- 2nd of August 2023 Collection mail - 10th August 2023 TLS VI - visa collected today. We said date of travel for end of month but the Vo decided to put 15th as start date🤦♀️
What I submitted:
So, I was initially updating the document one by one, but I felt it was going to confuse the VO and decided to merge them based on the check list that was provided after visa application. I created a Table of Contents in the first page for each checklist and listed the document and the page number. I used I love PDF to merge all the docs with the table of content, it was work but I think it made the application very straightforward. In all I submitted 7 Pdf files 1. Evidence of Ties to Home Country – proof of ties to home country — Letter of Visa Application by my mom where she declared what she does and what she is coming to do in the UK as well as declaration to abide by the laws of the land in terms of no recourse to public funds. In the Letter, she stated relationship between herself and the sponsor. — Attestation Letter from her Parish Vicar — Attestation Letter from where she currently lectures part time (note that I stated she was self-employed in the application) — Attestation Letter from Late husband’s workplace and how long they have known her — Land documents/ Receipt of Properties — Pictures of my mom at Work and with other siblings in Nigeria ( I used Microsoft to build a template where I inserted pictures and stated what each of them was and where they were taken including the date they were taken) 2. Evidence of funds available to you — Merged Bank statements of my mom’s personal accounts, created a table of content for each statement. This was my biggest fear, cos during application, I asked my mom what she feels is her annual income and she said 500K, only for her to print statement and one statement had inflow of 6million+ with outflow of 5.9million, 6 months statement oh. Balance was 174,000 naira. I shock. Her other statement too – inflow of 300,000 and outflow of also 260,000+ under 6 months. Summary is as she gets money, she distributes to different people as a good Samaritan that she is. I questioned her and she said Nigeria is tough, she cannot have and not help people that come to her for help. Okay ngwanu, *I didn’t include any letter of explanation because I didn’t want to draw any attention to it since she was being fully sponsored. And cos I filled 60k as her monthly expense in the application but was seeing expenses of over 250k in a month from her statement. SMH! — Land document and Property receipt to show ownership (I also didn’t explain anything) 3. Evidence that Sponsor is not in breech of UK Immigration laws. – This also had a table of contents and page number of every doc in it — BRP (back and front scans of me and my spouse’s BRB) — International Passports data pages — Visa Approval Letter from UKVI 4. Evidence of Support from Sponsor – Letter of invitation — Letter of invitation stating how we were solely funding the visit, confirming relationship, current workplace, residential address, financial competence and stating that she wouldn’t pose as a financial burden to the UK. Attached phone number and email address and wet signed the Letter. (Just One page letter but very straight to the point) 5. Invitation from UK based family/evidence to be in the UK. I still attached the letter of invitation here. — Proof of reason why she was coming. – mainly pictures which I labelled all — Proof of address – utility bill (only water and light) — Proof of residency status – still attached BRP here too. 6 Evidence of Support from Sponsor — 6 months merged Bank Statements – me and my spouse labelled each page on the table of content. — Work employment contract of sponsor — Payslips to show monthly/weekly income. I didn’t draft any letter of explanation to explain anything cos the balance on the statements was adequate and transactions were clear. 7. Evidence of Relationship with Sponsor — Merged – Birth cert showing her and my dad, my baptism cert, my marriage cert, wedding pictures far back where she featured, legal name change of spouse. — Pictures of different events we have attended together, labelled all using MS word and converted to pdf 10 Likes 2 Shares |

— Pictures of different events we have attended together, labelled all using MS word and converted to pdf
A very big congratulations. Can I speak with you please. I just emailed you. hoping you get back to me please thanks so much. 1 Like |

You will need a schengen visa to transit through Germany 🇩🇪, if not you will be sent back to Istanbul and back to Nigeria. Send me an email for your flight booking, I booked RwandAir for my trip. I am a travel agent 1 Like |
