Many people have been asking this same question. I will give you the answer if only you will believe it. Nigeria has a urge economical gain restoring democracy in Niger republic.This is the reason: Russia is the main supplier of gas to the Europe,but because of the rancors between Russia and the US , most European countries want to get Russia to her knees by crumble her economy. ( Russia also depended on natural resources and sales of weapons majorly). How does Nigeria come in? Nigeria has the 2nd largest gas reserve in the world after Qatar! There is an ongoing project to channel gas pipeline from Nigeria to the Europe through Morocco and this has to pass through Niger republic. A friend of mine is one of the contractors, the project started last year or so and the country has invested several billions on it already ( I was with him in Abuja sometimes Aug last year when they were settling the villages whose lands and properties that the pipeline affected in some Nigeria) . So with this new military government in Niger , the project will suffer serious set back, if not total termination because of the Russia interest involved. No country fight a war without background interest. We should ask ourselves while not the same flexing of muscles on other ECOWAS member countries with recent military take overs?
The gas project when completed will change the narratives concerning our dependency on the west and our economy will experience some boost. Strong economy is pivotal to the strength of any country, what makes any country a force to recon with in the world is majorly how independent, strong and stable her economy is!
I hope u see one of the reason why ECOWAS is flexing 💪. Though dialogue should be way to go, because no matter how minor a war seems ,both parties will suffer some forms of casualties.

This same scenario will play out in Niger if at all this war will start. It is very unlikely that the northern soldiers which are probably from Niger will be killing their kits and kin in Niger. They will sabotage the Nigerian military. We need to be careful.

It is ok for Russia to invade and annex their neighbor's territory. It is ok for them to wage a war of attrition on Ukraine absolutely for no reason.
The Russians should practice what they preach. Ecowas is not going to Niger to seize their land and resources.

Russia goals are as following : Librate four Russian speaking region to it's territory which she succeeded, Ukraine be neutral, which she succeeded.
Ukraine goal is to take back the territory and joined NATO that was the counter offensive all about which it's failing woefully.
Now Russia said she might made advance if there is no peace deal and west/USA/nato back out but they refused for peace deal now Russian army is making advance in kharkiv region.

Like I said, English is your problem unfortunately. If Russia hears of Sweden amassing troops at its border, won't it deploy soldiers there just in case? Or will Russia fold their arms and do nothing? So if they deploy troops, does that mean they are afraid.
