Osun osogbo is spiritual worship & sacrifice to the Osun river goddess by Osun followers. its not a dress up festival.

Very rich culture

Lots of people comes from different countries to witness the festival

I still remember year 2006, we spent more than 1month shooting movie inside this same groove & it's memorable experience

We should be grateful to the Ibadan warriors who chased away the Fulani's from oshogbo and prevented a takeover in 1840. If not for them, this colorful event wont have bn happening and the rhetoric will be that Osogbo is a town of Alfas.

You call this very few in attendance ,shey na until stampede happens and people start dying or getting injure before you appreciate what was done in a peaceful and blissful manner ?

Had it been the Yorubas ruled the world like the West, who knows we would have been worshipping Ọ̀ṣun-ṣ'ẹ̀ngẹ̀ṣẹ́ but if we tell them that Jesus is a fictional character whose stories are copied from Horus, Krishna, Dionysus, Romulus, et cetera, they will tell us we don't know what we are saying...they will start quoting bible for us.
