Majority of them didn’t even read Tinubu’s letter. All they did was to spring up conspiracies..

The initial threats and needless ultimatum complicated what could have been resolved earlier and more easily. We were talking at each other, instead of talking with each other.

Thankfully, wisdom and reason have prevailed and peaceful routes to resolution are now the only cards on the table. The wicked dreams of embittered ipob terrorists and other selfish & insensitive war mongers have been prematurely terminated.

Kudos to President Bola Tinubu.
Kudos to the Northern Political & Religious Leaders.

IPOB and those who support war with Niger are one.

There's not going to be any war. Obidients will be so disappointed by this news.

Is it Obidients that want war or your emilokan president that has been fanning the embers of war.

Why are you people so obsessed with the civilized and well mannered Obidients all over the world?

The threat was a masterstroke, remember AU also issued a 14day ultimatum. The major saving grace of the coupists are the northern elites who intervened based on close affinities to both sides. The latest resolution by ECOWAS to deploy standing troops also sent down shivers, who could think that a military dictator could apologize. ECOWAS negotiated from a weaker position in Mali & Burkina faso which the current leadership of ECOWAS doesn't want a repeat.

Tinubu did well. He showed he’s what they do call him & he’s not a baby politician. He did 4 things;
Dialogue with the coup plotters..
Threatening the coup plotters..
Give them ultimatum..
Imposed Sanctions..

Enemies of Nigeria been thinking Ecowas would fail so they can mock tinubu but Jagaban always has his way!

I would have totally agreed with you if all these happened before the initial ultimatum elapsed.

The fact that they called bluff on the ultimatum without consequences….let’s just count our wins…including the crippling sanctions.

The bitter truth is that Tinubu is under pressure by the West ( Us and France ) to attack Niger. That's the reason why the war ultimatum was issued by Ecowas.

Anywhere, has the military junata agreed to hand over power to the civilian democracy ? That's the reason why Ecowas want to invade.

People think ruling a sensitive country like Nigeria is all about claiming saint and forming holiest than thou.
Someone that cannot have a distributed vote in Nigeria should never rule Nigeria because the real test of leadership in Nigeria is ability to influence and withstand intense pressure.

Obi that is not widely accepted in Nigeria but won 95% in his region and less than 5% in core northern states does not have that capacity

Just one decision and he could send the most powerful country in Africa to political instability.

Does he have what it takes to work with the north and make decisions and they respect him. People that will rather choose goat over him

His vote equals to TRIBALISM plus RELIGIOUS sentiment. Someone so incompetent as Peter Obi cannot and should never rule Nigeria.

Interesting that he is now ready to dialogue. The sanctions have been very effective.

Sanctions wey never begin work, the fool needs to make a phone call, to Maduro the president of Venezuela, or probably pay him a visit.
Maduro will be in better position to educate him on the meaning of sanctions.
This is what sanctions did to Venezuela, an oil rich country.

Why are you asking this like you didn’t read the news of first envoy sent to Niger to dialogue?

Did Ecowas told you they won’t dialogue?

Your Tinubu failed badly. Are Islamic clerics ecowas delegates or you don't know what ecowas is? You think it's a religious organisation?
It's because ecowas has failed that religious clerics are coming in to remedy the situation.

Are they scared? I thought they were battle ready.
If Nigeria had chicken out, na real Bleep up. Make ordinary Niger wan use us shine.

International politics is a game theory.

A leader is faced with several option and each decision is like a butterfly effect.

Faced with two choices

1. Act
2. Do nothing

If you act, what is the long term consequence of option 1? We restore democracy and send the message loud and clear that no room for coup in west Africa any more. You do coup, you won’t get away with it.

2. Do nothing: for the mean time, there’s peace and temporary stability. What of the long term effect? Then it means anybody in west Africa can do coup and get away with it.
And what’s the longer time effect? Political instability here and there in west African countries. And any region there’s political instability, they will always experience economic instability, security challenges such as terrorism.

But some people because of their empty brain and selfish interest, because their candidate did not win election, they wanted the worst to happen to Nigeria not thinking of the long term effect it will cause to them. You throw stones not knowing it would end up hitting yours. Ase ni se ara e

Nobody here is battle ready. Not Niger, not Nigeria. Diplomacy is the best way out here.

Within Nigeria, the north (Muslims) is not in support of the war. Nigerian soldiers are mainly northerners. The christian leaders have advised against it too . As a leader, u must put all these into consideration.

I expect that the President will use the outcome of this meeting to calm things down and pursue diplomacy. We both needed this outcome, Niger and Nigeria.
