Brimstone77:I beg to disagree. The reason you see the Northern approach and peace seeking delegates is because the issue in Niger if not properly handled will affect the North adversely. Remember the Banditry and insurgency going on. There's a joint task force comprising Nigeria and Nigerien forces fighting off this issues. If Nigeria and Niger is at loggerhead, you can imagine that this insurgents will be having a field day. 1 Like 1 Share |

Morbeta11:oga there is more corruption in military government than democratic elected government. the history of borrow and falling naira to dollar begin in military government. Abacha alone steal over $5billions not to talk of ibb, even Aldusalam abukakar steal over $4billions within 5 months |

Favorisieren: There is enough human capital quality across Africa to run the continent. What we should be talking about is improving leadership quality, void of greed and corruption, and having a strong revolutionary andvreformative vision to liberate the people. 1 Like |

membranus:I kinda understand your point, but we always boast too much. For example...how many brilliant doctors do we have that can cover the whole of the Nigerian population? By the way... let's not talk about the brilliant doctors.... let's talk about the whole number of doctors. How many doctors to the Nigerian population do we have? Do you know? Yet, the little ones we produce don't stay. Do not misunderstand a few brilliant people as the whole of the Nigerian population. Yes, people abroad always say Nigerians are smart. I don't doubt it, but it doesn't mean they are enough. Sir, our educational system is poor and the free education introduced by Awolowo expired a long time ago. The earlier the better we know that we have just very few brilliant people. Politicians are not our problem, but the whole Nigerian educational and family system is bad. By the way, do we still have moral instructions as a subject in our elementary education? Hmmmm! How many researchers do we have? What are we even producing? Those brilliant Nigerians get better as soon as they leave the nation. Well, corruption is a cancer. Yes, you are right. My point is that if you also have the chance to hold a public office, I am sure your spouse (if you are married) and your parents are the first to start telling you that it is the one opportunity for your family to escape poverty. Lol. Look at the mirror and evaluate yourself also. Won't you become a corrupt politician if you were one today? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Fortune118005: There is nothing deep in what you asked sir. Here is how you asked the question again: "What can you say about the West taking away our human resources?" My point is that Nigeria does not value what it has. As in Africa as a whole, and those who value them are taking them. In the business world, we call something "disruptive technology". That is....something that comes up to destroy and replace what is available. The 1990s to 2020 were a period in that almost all tech available was at its last stage. And from 2010, modern ones that were in motion started replacing them. The peak was Covid-19. Boom! That was when the EU, US, and Canada realized that talents are in Africa. The period Covid-19 shook the whole of China and India and they had no other option than to check elsewhere. Their thought was that they could get from the middle east, but when Kenya boys started doing Harvard students' assignments, and then their professors got to know. And that was it. EU and UK stopped all tourism visas and started talent visas. Lol. Canada ported in that direction too. The US too saw it....and they did what? Knocked out visiting visas and started rolling out different work visas just to hunt for the best talents. The funny thing is that most of these people getting these visas today are just ordinary Africans who might not be specular in the universities they attend. Why? Because the lecturers in African universities are useless. I know this a long time ago. I don't pity them when Buhari dealt with them. So, to answer your question....what is the best thing a man should value? Is it, not his wife? If Nigeria values its talents like men should value their wives, why would it lose them? Nigeria doesn't value them, so people who value them will take them. 1 Like |

Fortune118005:There is no mystery sir. We know where we lost it, but we are not yet ready to correct ourselves. Yes, Africa doesn't respect itself so, others cannot respect it. And yes, Africa intentionally does not value its talents. If you want to know how Africa is killing itself, read Nairaland's front page. Have you not been seeing tribal war? This is the simplest example that we an authority in Nigeria can do things right, but the owner and his mods prefer the traffic and money they are making than taking drastic action to curb tribal war. Is it Tinubu, Buhari, Babanbiga, or the late Abacha in charge of NL? If you were a foreigner and you keep reading NL, would you respect Nigeria? So, let's not fool ourselves, Nigeria is decaying and it will keep rusting. I have said and I will say it again, the people who killed Nigeria are 60 years and above. All they want is that govt should subsidize everything...If you know the opportunities that generation had... mehn! But they killed everything. Now, 50 years and below have taken over. Since 1960, we have been subsidizing... don't we know that subsidy is a form of debt? Who is paying for it? Lol. From Nnamdi Azikiwe to Obafemi Awolowo to Ahmadu Bello...down to Obasanjo and this Tinubu.. .all of them are failures. That generation is disgusting. Well, I have nothing more to say. |
