Hmmm. Expatriates are now protesting too? This is unprecedented. Tinubu gaffes big-time. An economic policy of unification of fx in less than 3 months is now setting Nigeria backwards . I wonder what would happen in 3 months to come. 4 Likes 1 Share |

BoldBrainz:Really? So it is a race to the bottom right? It's about the lowest paid workers and when the half paid workers start protesting "we" as in you i guess, will replace them again for even more half and on and on it goes till eventually you would replace them with who? As i said, it is clearly a race to the bottom for you. Tell me, how much does Naigerian politicians get paid? 3 Likes |

Thought they were insulated from the collective suffering of the misgoverned Nigerians where lawmakers splashed n70 billion on car purchases. When Nigerians have had enough they will deliver a spontaneous response. 1 Like |

BoldBrainz:You want to replace expatriates with who exactly? Are they civil servants? I know one of them who possessed a CCIE. Do you know how though it is to bag it and the cost implications? How many Nigerians had that, still living in Nigeria? I've never found one. You talk like an illiterate. I'm sorry to say. 3 Likes |

Do you know the investment Shell has made on those human resources you're seeing there, Ode? Do you know human capital is the most expensive resources of an entity, Block Head? You this block head, they should engage you to blow up their facility in less than a day abi? BoldBrainz: 3 Likes |

Calitoscassius: It's not a race. Nobody even has the energy to be running right now. It's a work environment, and where certain hands fail to get things done, more hands can suffice. As for what Nigerian politicians earn, I'm certain that information is within the purview of the Fiscal Allocation Commission. |

Eriokanmi: There's no certification in the world that is held by a single individual. Where these ones have been to learn and gather the requisite knowledge, loads of other people have done same. Should those workers up and resign en-mass, there'll be replacements for them in less than a week. There'll just be the matter of the needed training. It's rather you who's reasoning like a brain that hasn't left the confines of a damp village hut. 1 Like |

Nigeria is finally paying market price for fuel (the same as Ghana and other African countries), so what's the noise about again? What did all these people do when they were paying 1/3 of the price of fuel? Technically, they should have savings from not paying market price all these decades. And having working refineries (including Dangote) won't bring down the price: why should somebody sell in Lagos for cheaper when they can get market price in Accra? Especially when their refinery is financed in dollars? Let us enjoy the collective pain jare. I didn't vote for Tinubu, but on this I stand: subsidies have to go, permanently. Anything else will just make the pain worse and shift it to our next generation. |

BoldBrainz:You clearly didn't understand what i meant by race. Never mind. What i meant was that wages or salaries are supposed to be going up not down, as you suggested that you would replace them with workers for half of their wages. No need for the Fiscal whatever commission, everyone is aware that Naigerian politicians earn millions in salaries 2 Likes |
