Hello guys,
My second application was refused as stated in the other thread.
Grounds for refusal: "Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel..."

I used my account statement earlier and I observed from my CBSA notes that the VO mentioned that I had low to moderate transactions as the reason for refusal. I would like to ask, can I put all my money in fixed deposit and use the certificate to re-apply?
What i senses here is that, your account lacks a good financial transactions. You barely transact with your account. V.O are humans, they're not just concerned about the money in your account but, they wanna know how healthy that account is considering the balance inside it.

Is your visa still showing valid on the tracker? You can wait till Friday, but to play safe you could redo the medicals even though IRCC will tell you to redo your medicals it expires

Better go for another medical examination to be safe.
Your medical must be valid till your arrival in Canada

Don't try that, the question is how much do you have in your acct? what is the cost of your tuition fee, duration of your program, are you going with dependent and what province these questions will help to determine the money you should have in your acct for it to be sufficient for your stay in Canada.

1. January intake is close for international applicants, try Spring/summer or wait till Fall 2024 application open for some schools, as some school has start F2024 intake
2. Forget about January (Winter) term 2024
3. You both can apply same time
4. The UK will be stopping dependent for study by Jan 2024
Sam2305:
Hello family,

Please I want to ask few questions.

1)is it late to start applying to Canadian Colleges for post graduate diploma/graduate certificate for January 2024 intake.

2)When am I to apply for visa as January is just 6 months away.

3)I will like for my partner to travel or join me as dependent as we will just be newly wedded by December, when can she apply for her own visa

We wanted to do UK before but this dependent thing that UK stopped is discouraging...

Thanks all

Would the school reject me if per adventure the visa came out lately?

Why should I defer?

I'll surely make it.

tenderjunkie:

There are lots of airlines that don't require transit visa depending on the route.

It's best to watch out for the routes.

For example, Egyptair can have flights going to Canada but have different layovers.

You can check KLM, Ethiopia, Egyptair, Lufthansa, British Airways, there's one that stops at Paris I can't remember the name.

Ethiopian airways can have 2 stops (Adis Ababa and Ireland) but provided only one European country is involved, it's fine

Please how about Ethiopian baggage requirements, how is it like? On their site the specified box for free luggage is almost as small as the hand luggage. I intend using a duffel bag as it is lighter and contains more. Will I have any problems checking in my luggage?
