1. Yes if you didn't defer neither did you register as a student 2. with the way thing are slow with ircc, you can't meet up if your resumption date is 6th of sept. It might take 1 month before you will your stamp passport and eligibility letter to enter Canada CanadaStudent: |

You sound as if JMG laid on curse on you...lol Okay, so here is why you were advised to defer. You have to have enrolled, paid tuition and registered for your courses before a certain date in September and be physically present in your school in Canada to resume studies. So, if you have not received your PPR by now, let's say, it takes2-3 weeks before it comes. Then you submit your passport to VFS and that could take another 2-4 weeks in some cases before the passport returns to you with the visa. So basically, you may still need between 4-6 weeks minimum before visa is in hand and by that time, even the school won't allow you register for courses but only defer to the next season. So, it's just advised that once you haven't got your visa in hand at least 2 weeks before resumption, you may need to defer so you don't lose your admission altogether and have your visa eventually cancelled. So, you see, even if you are a FAITH person, you must work around realities and plan for the unexpected. You should be grateful to JMG for providing free professional advice that can help your CANADA goals instead of your "I shall surely make it" response as if he just jinxed you. Cheers, buddy CanadaStudent: 3 Likes |

This is the reality and some of people (including my son) are in this boat. We remain hopeful to cut it despite the tight window. My son's medical has been updated to pass since August 3rd and no update till date. Have been agitated but learning to just remain calm and calculating...positioning for the impossible as it is MayorJoshofNewY: |

Good morning guys Please i have a question Can i use my stamped passport for fall 2023 to enter for a Fall 2024 program next year August? I just got my ppr and i dont know if i can still meet up with my school deadline of sept 11 The first deadline is sept 4 and final deadline os sept 11. Im submitting passport in person tomorrow, i heard it takes 2 to 4 weeks to come back. I already have admission for fall 2024 in the same school Can i use this visa which is for a 1 year fall 2023 program to enter for Fall 2024? By August next year? Or will i need to start a fresh application? |

I also submitted on the 3rd of August. I couldn't trace my application through tracker likewise. When I try to sign up, it will roll and bounce back. No update since the 3rd of August aside my biometric.....Update is yet to come and tracker is not also going.... Oh God, I cover August 3rd, 2023 with the blood of Jesus. Let the day the application was submitted brings success in Jesus name 🙏. Gbola007: |

kayceeskay: Send your PPR letter to the school to inform them that you have your approval and now waiting for stamped passport. Plead with them to offer you online access to attend orientation if they have or grant you more time to arrive Canada. 1 Like |

MayorJoshofNewY: O thanks. I've registered for courses. I have accomodations already. If I get to the school by September ending, wouldn't I allowed in to the school & Canada? BTW, he can't curse me nor jinxed me thither. I'm thankful for his advice. |

CanadaStudent:I understand you completely. The thoughts of deferring is always too scary. I also am in this same category. I applied since June 28th. Up till now I haven’t heard a hoot from IRCC. I wonder if there are many June applicants with same challenge |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 3:04pm On Aug 17, 2023 |
kayceeskay: I do not know how long is the programme, if it is longer than 1 year, your visa will have a two year validity, which allows you to enter Canada anytime till the expiring date, if the school grants a deferral to Sept 2024, get a new LOA from them and send to IRCC, it just means you won't be able to travel till next year like a month to the start of the programme. |
