Have you ever held your breath for a few hours? What about 30 minutes? Because telling the fraudsters who scam for a living to stop their devilish activities is like asking them to stop breathing, is like asking them to die. An unless you're Tom Cruise, who could stay under water for minutes defusing bombs or blowing up one, I don't think any one would sit and wait for his death with full consciousness.
Asking some fraudulent persons to desist from their dishonourable acts without something legal and productive for them to fall back on is like asking them to commit suicide, it's that bad sometimes!
Do you consider Nigerians and other Africans who risk it all to cross the Sahara desert and the Mediterranean sea without thinking much about safety to be stupid and senseless?
Every year hundreds of Nigerians lost their lives either in the Sahara desert or at the Mediterranean sea, while pushing their luck to Europe.
What would you say about a country whose political leaders and even a sitting President going to foreign countries for medical checkup and treatment?
These scammers are sophisticated and intelligent. If it was an honourable field some would have been Pulitzer prize winners for their sugar coated words.
A Nigerian fraudster sold a non-existent airport for $242 million to a Brazilian bank in 1995.
US authorities have announced charges against 80 people, most of them Nigerians, in a wide-ranging fraud and money laundering operation that netted millions of dollars from victims of internet con jobs.
American authorities on Thursday unsealed a 252-count grand jury indictment charging those people in an operation that procured at least $46m from victims of internet scam jobs.
Let the sleeping dog lie, don't tickle her.
Most of this fraudster are educated, some have degrees. And they all something in common “unemployed “
I do not think that some humans would rather scam to make a living if they had other options like a paying job. unemployment should not be an excuse to destroy the lives of the innocent, even though some cases are just pure greed and gullibility, one has to be in there shoes to really understand what is going on.
As you may have heard: Nigeria population is mostly made up of youth. About 60% of a population of around 200 million is below the age of 40, if Jobs are not provided for the teaming youth, security is going to be a huge challenge, not just for the Nigerian government but the entire world.
Tunde Fowler, FIRS boss, says the agency received 700,000 applications (2,000 were by graduates with first class honors degrees) for only 500 advertised positions. With federal agencies strapped for cash, Fowler says FIRS cannot employ any more workers than it can manage.
In the past, recruitment exercises for Nigeria’s civil service have attracted thousands of applicants but not on this scale. In 2014, during one of the worst recruitment drives in recent history, 16 young people died in stampedes as 125,000 job seekers applied for 4,500 jobs with Nigeria’s immigration service.
An idle mind is the devil's workshop
To me, Nigerians didn't necessarily bring this challenges open themselves, our colonial masters did a terrible job an now their children and grand children (westerners) are paying for it. And this is why no one is innocent on the current happenings in developing countries like Nigeria.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere
Our government is corrupt and lawless but we trivialise this very fact. The international body doesn't care much, after all corrupt Nigerian politicians siphon money to Western countries with the help of the westerners… of course, an they are benefiting from the sorrows of Nigerians.
My personal opinion is that; when you see injustice anywhere, when you see abnormalities in any part for the world, do what you can where you are to make a difference, to contribute favourable because the world is a global village, or so they say, and what ever that happens in one part may affect the other parts directly or indirectly.
My warning to internet users is to be very careful. Scams might only increase in this digital era, and don't only safe guard yourself from Nigerians but from everyone in the world.
Edit: My job here is to tell one and all the truth, unbiased. I'm in no way in support of scams or dishonourable means of making a living.
Thank you for reading.

And the youth are here fighting each other because of religion, ethnicity and politicians. Instead of focusing on the main challenge, which is the system…
