obedience4:They built and maintained refineries in Nigeria, Which the so called democratic government couldn't build any nor maintain it. Africa was safer and life expectancy was at its greatest peaks. There was law, order and security. Most African countries like nigeria was producing most of the materials that they needed. Rate of poverty was low, Today the reverse is the case. Africans are dying in thousands trying to cross the Mediterranean sea, just to slave in Europe and America. Lots more. |

Moniya4Real:Please don’t compare what happened in Egypt to Niger. The people protest and riot for many days before the military took over. Niger own is different. USA cannot go against the will of the Egyptians that time. And also morsi is also part of Muslim brotherhood which is responsible for some terrorist activities in the world during that period |

Terrorists activities? But what matters is the Egyptian peoples support for the democratically elected government of Morsi. The current president (Elsisi)then, used tanks to run over peaceful protesters. No western media cry foul. The US will still use that episode against him when they are done using him./ no longer their puppets.History shows that . Well, the Nigeriens too are in support of the coupists if we want to even go through that route. Babathanks: |

Wodu89: Something is really wrong with you. Military will soon take over even in Nigeria if this mess going on is not reversed by the government of the so called sophisticated tribesmen. Till now democracy has no dividends in Nigeria except corruption. All the amenities we are enjoying today from Universities, high roads, general hospitals, even Federal capital are all creation of the past military regimes. Niger coup is not about Hausa Fulani tribe but about resistance to neo-colonisation from France, US and co. West Africa must be liberated. Only you will remain slave to Western satanic governments and interests. Your comments are disgusting. 2 Likes |

If tinubu sends the Nigerian army into Niger Republic, then the war will be very short and tinubu's presidency will be even shorter. Northern officers and soldiers will not follow tinubu into this stupid war, neither will southsouth soldiers nor south east soldiers. Why are Yoruba always on the wrong side of history when it comes to African freedom ? Right from colonial era, Yoruba have always sided with the colonizers against fellow Africans. 1 Like 1 Share |

Make them de go storm, na them sabi, abi no be soldiers them be? As someone asked earlier, if the coup had happen eg Nigeria, will ecowas raise a force to restore constitutionality? |
Re: We Are Ready To Storm Niger - ECOWAS Force by Morphinne: 12:47am On Aug 18, 2023 |
Wodu89:Na you get time to dey educate the f*Ol. They are too blind to see that this fight is not just about Niger republic but about stopping a bad precedent and culture. If something is not done to nip coup-plotting in the bud, the whole continent of Africa will soon be engulfed. It has happened in Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali and now Niger__all in west Africa. Igbo orangutans now see nothing wrong in someone forcefully toppling a sitting president’s government just because the man they hate is against the idea. They now see coup as the best alternative to democracy, afterall, the enemy of my enemy is my friend 😂 |

The sanctions are enough and it's already biting hard with about 50% implemented. It will be more effective if 100% enforced, the people themselves will rise against the soldiers. Wodu89: 1 Like |

Wodu89:Father Abraham... have you ever sat down and ask urself what is actually causing the coup in the first place... it's because of people being tired of bad governance |
Re: We Are Ready To Storm Niger - ECOWAS Force by Morphinne: 3:30am On Aug 18, 2023 |
Ifogift007:Since it’s bad governance that’s causing the coup and since the head of the Nigerien junta believes he’s popular enough among his people, what’s stopping him from resigning from the military and testing his popularity in a national poll? It’s grossly irresponsible to use force to topple a sitting president. Now imagine it was a military personnel from a minority group that ousted a Hausa president from power, how messy do you think Niger would be by now? Dear obingo, stop hiding behind the cloak of hatred, what is bad is bad regardless of who’s doing it. Ecowas are doing the right thing to curtail an ugly culture. Go and read about Syria and the root cause of what led to the sorry situation they are in today. Go and read about how some ragtag Sunni fighters tried to topple his government and the subsequent sad events and repercussions that followed and that have left the country and its environs in a sorry state to date. |
