kayceeskay: I think you are safe with your new LOA from same school for Sept 2024. Travel first week of August 2024, extend your study permit at POE shikina. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by oluayebenz: 11:37pm On Aug 17, 2023 |
zubizareta: Just like that? @kayceeskay. Before you submit your passport, inform IRCC about your new admission letter via webform and emails, make sure they acknowledge it, tracker visa details will definitely change once they receive your new admission, then submit passport for your visa. That's the best way to go, don't take chances. Airline staff in Nigeria or transiting country might not allow you to board with a student visa expiring in less than 30days. 2 Likes |

zubizareta:The above is suicide He cannot extend his study permit in canada after 30 days of study permit expiry ,he can only restore status after 30 days of expiry, he will have 90 days to do so..though he will have no status to restore ...he cannot apply for study permit @ point of entry unless a United States citizens. By August 2024 he may not be allowed to enter Canada.. 1 Like |

I believe the officer’s note is self-explanatory and reasonable. Your proposed program is not relevant to your current occupation. To address the issue, you need to establish the program's relevance to your present and/or future career path. How is HR related to your present occupation? Is the program designed to improve or update you on new market trends, new tech and analysis in the industry? Are you getting a promotion that requires knowledge and skills in the proposed program? You must explain clearly the relevance of the certification to career growth. Like a puzzle, identify the gap, and show the VO how the intended program fits perfectly. Funformofi: 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by zubizareta(m): 6:15am On Aug 18, 2023 |
oluayebenz: True about the last part. What if he travels 2 or 3 months before resumption date, and gets the study permit extended to the new LOA date at POE? Well, think it's the worst case scenario I was pointing out though I agree updating via webform is important before submission of passport. |

I went to their site and the program I applied for is PGWP eligible. Masters in Business Admin (Technology, innovation and Entrepreneur). What other information do you have about the school? bullstriker: |

Good morning all. Yesterday night, around 7:30pm I got a correspondence letter / bvl, till now I’ve gotten nothing else. My application is still saying “in progress”. Sent mails to Nairobi,London and Lagos last night yet nothing. Checked my tracker and it’s last update was Aug 11th. I don’t even know what to do anymore. Please I would appreciate your suggestions pls. |

Duhreen: A decision has been made on your application; just be patient the outcome will drop. I pray it is an approval. If you have signed up on the tracker you can check there. |

Thanks for the response as always. I figured we can only re-fire in the line of career progression as advised and mine is tailored towards my retirement future goals. Academics progression is clearly not the way to go (MBA- PGC). I will be needing help to vet the new draft when I'm done. To all the SOP guru in the house, pls don't disregard my PM oh 🙏 @bullstriker @zubizareta God bless you all for your time and knowledge/ experience sharing. bullstriker: |

Bobomaigida: I have and the tracker’s last update was on Aug 11th. It hasn’t been updated since then. Even this yesterday correspondence hasn’t reflected there. I will just have faith and wait for the end result. Thank you. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Funformofi: 8:43am On Aug 18, 2023 |
alakara: Thanks for the response. The course is actually intentional as its tailored towards my future goal. Academic progression means MSc which is a tall shot from where I am. I tried but na long thing. Career progression is more like it |
