Bayer Leverkusen have made an €18m bid for Southampton winger Nathan Tella.

Saints heading towards £200m in transfer fees received this summer if this happens 😳

You were doing well until the Omeruo part...does he even have a club these days? Jordan Torunarigha who is FIFA certified to finally represent Nigeria is younger and plays at a better level of competition than Omeruo...Omeruo just like Ekong and Balogun is yesterday's news, man's done.

Also I'll have Nathan Tella on the standby list, Bayern leverkusen are in for him and Chukwueze/Lookman etc will need some serious competition as well as more depth for us in the event of injuries to any of our wingers.

Omeruo till date has remained relevant in GWG. So any new comer has to show they’re better. I put Ogbu (who has been pretty good for club) up against him. I don’t judge players by what clubs they play for alone, but performance for club or/and country.

Toru now qualifies to play for us, but that does not answer the question if he can beat the competition today. Not impressed with what I’ve seen from him in Belgium. Consider Akpoguma who in my opinion is only just recently trying to find his footing in the team.

You have a valid point on injury to our wingers. A standby list will take care of that. But this is my tournament pick in the NOW (so my opinion may change), though quite too early esp for some of the players who have something to prove in their new clubs.

I get your point about Omeruo and tbh I've always liked him, he has always been a complete professional who brings that veterans calmness to our defence when called upon, but I beg to differ on your take about Torunarigha, I've followed the Belgian league assiduously because of Gift Orban and Toru has invariably always seemed solid in defence for Gent whenever I watched him, not eror-prone and has a decent stat as well in the European conference league...I respect your opinion but I'll have Toru ahead of Omeruo right now cause I just feel the likes of Omeruo, Ekong, Balogun and to some extent Semi Ajayi have been part of that defensive structure for a long time and haven't particularly impressed. I'll rather have Balogun back over Omeruo cause he is our most intelligent defender even with his age.

Also for your strikers list, I feel if Adams Akor has a good season with Montpellier, Iheanacho might have to do better than the championship if he wants a chance with the NT, even Chuba Akpom that just joined Ajax should be in the mix depending on how his season goes.

What you said about Toru might be true... I've not watched him but let me remind you of Akpoguma. Same thing was said about Akpoguma before he made the switch. Guess what? Akpors can't still nail a spot in the national team despite how shamble out defence has been. I will support Joebie on this. Toru needs to come in and price himself.

Never say never. I bet some wrote this guy off when he went to Croatia. One that plays God even used the slang. "Water has found it's level" I guess he is not having heart attack the way some discarded players are just moving and his anointed ones are moving to Oporospor, Turkmenispor and the League 0

a. Samson Tijani
b. Fisayo Dele Bashiru
c. Victor Eletu
d. Ebenezer Akinsanmiro
e. Maybe Ibrahim Oseni

How about Chuba Akpom? Let's say he hits 20 goals for Ajax. not forgetting he is the highest goal scorer in the English championship last season.
