I agree with the road part. Other states have left Anambra behind in dual carriageway. Yet we need it more as a result of population and high volume of economic activities. Did you just mention 150b for the total cost? Be assured that constructing all the roads mentioned to their desired standard would cost not less than a trillion naira. Roads are needed badly. Then, decongestion of Onitsha and relocation of Eke Awka to well constructed modern market away from the current traffic nightmare. Not forgetting the area of housing for public servants.

BTW, I thought Esther Obiakor road is already linked to Ifite?

You can also tweet him. I am sure he will take note. He is active on the social media.

I mentioned 150B, because some of the roads could be concessioned to contractors, at no cost to the state and they will be happy to pick them up, construct and toll them for a defined period

Esther Obiakor Avenue stopped/terminated at Ifite Road. We need that road to pass perpendicularly across that Ifite Road to Ifite Farmlands to connect the new Government House Road/Alex Ekwueme Boulevard at Aniocha or Amaokpala axis of Ifite Awka, then onward again to join
UNIZIK Tempsite - Isuaniocha- Mgbakwu Road (More like a Ring Road)

I am an Apostle of good governance irrespective of party affiliations, and I believe Soludo is from the same school of thought. I have always given my vote to APGA in Anambra State, except during presidential elections. Obi had his well-known limitations no doubt, but we voted for Soludo to right the wrongs of Obi et al, unfortunately, he is not living up to expectations in spite of the good wills he has from Anambrarians

If Anambra cannot afford Julius Berger for certain economic Roads, especially within the Onitsha and Nnewi axis of the State, Please let him engage CCECC, Arab Contractors, RCC, or even Craneburgh (This company is new in Nigeria from South Africa and not so expensive to engage like JB, but they will deliver quality infrastructures and they are currently doing wonders in Aba)

I know that Soludo is a BIG Ideas/Pictures individual, and I am expecting him to think big in his projects, especially Road Construction. I expected him to dualize the following roads in Anambra and even build some green field roads to open up the state:
1. Starting from Amawbia Roundabout (Houses to be demolished) - section of Onitsha Road @ Amawbia- Amawabia R/A - Nise-Agulu-Nanka-Ekwulobia(flyover here as he planned)- Uga
2. Ekwulobia-Isuofia-Awka Etiti-Nnobi(Flyover here)-Umuoji-Nkpor
3. Nnewi(demolitions) - Nnobi- Nnokwa- Agulu
4. Nnewi(demolitions)- Ojoto-Oba- Owerri/Onitsha Expressway(Flyover here)
5. Dualize Atani Road to Atani Town
6. Alex Ekwueme Boulevard Road extension to Ifite Awka
7. UNIZIK tempsite Road - Isuaniocha- Mgbakwu
8. Extend Esther Obiakor Road northwards through Ifite Awka to join Roads 6 & 7 above
9. Dualize 33 Road
10. Dualize Upper iweka to Main Market
11. Dualize Ogidi -Awka Road- Main Market
12. Greenfield Road from Awka Road - 33 Road, Onitsha OR Inosi Onira R/A - 33 Road
13. Dualize Niger Street, Onitsha
14. A green field road perpendicular to Awka/Onitsha expressway at Airport Junction with a clover-leaf flyover around Umunya-cutting Awka/Onitsha old road perpendicularly around Ogidi/Ogbunike/Abagaga to join Owerri Interchange of 2NB (Toll this road on completion or give it to a contractor to build)

1. You can toll more of these roads, we will pay to use decent infrastructure. The state is choking, then you can start your other wonderful projects like AAU Automotive City with Innoson as the anchor company, Ikenga - Mixed City with EMZOR as the anchor company, Solution Innovation District @ Awka, Solution Fun City @Awka, Agulu lake theme Park, Export Emporium, AND I am proposing that you have Solution PARK (SPARK City) around Ekwusigo or Oba for Light manufacturing. Also, mandate your environment ministry to plant and maintain at least 2m trees on Anambra Roads.

2. Anambra is the smallest state in Nigeria in terms of landmass, after Lagos. The total distance of all the aforementioned roads should not be more than 300km and cannot cost the state more than 150B if we use Craneburgh for all the roads @N500m per KM.

I think Soludo must have been spooked by the cost of demolitions and compensation for some of the key roads you listed..........that is why he ran to rural roads ( i think?) He should have really tackled some of the key access roads into onitsha ,Awka and nnewi! Why waste so much goodwill on fighting sit at home ....when we cannot access onitsha conveniently from Oba/ojoto axis anymore !

He needs a points man for desilting all drains and canals in the state! That massive drain constructed by CCC from Tarzan to metallurgical must
be cleared immediately and work must start on fixing the erosion that has cut off one lane of the road! We cannot wait for a hostile federal government,, we have igbo engineers at home and abroad that can fix that erosion wahala once and for all...............where is that dogged "can do" spirit that Ndigbo were know for!

See what a so called back ward nation is able to achieve ,when A highly motivated leadership calls the bluff of every one else and galvanises their people to do the impossible! There is no infrastructural challenge facing us that we cannot tackle from the vast human and material resources within Anambra state! We can tackle the Obosi erosion and the ecological challenges it poses for the state! The problem is that Soludo seems too aloof ,even arrogant to ask for help! If you assemble reputable engineering firms like Oilserv,Nestoil and hammakopf..........they can suggest ways of tackling some of the ecological wahala..............Oilserv Ltd probably has more swamp bogeys than most companies in Nigeria! That company can clear sakamori in a month.......i tire sha!

Ideally, compensations for demolition will be paid on houses with C-of-O and I doubt most of the houses are with C-of-O. If anything, he will be afraid of re-election

I have earlier watched your enclosed video of Afghanistan creating a canal through the desert and Egypt is also building a similar project.

I quite agree with you on Nestoil, Oilserve and hammakopf combo to unearth the hidden gem in Anambra infrastructure

The governor will demolish houses (a lot of it) for Anambra to become the one-city-state that he has in mind

Wow.. Afghanistan.. good riddance… this tells you the best resources a state or a country should have is not mineral resources but Human Resources with intelligence and innovation etc.. Anambra has so many rivers but to dredge the onitsha port the useless concessionaire is preaching about dredging this tells you the will and zeal is not there .. he could have started dredging immediately.

Secondly roads built by Souldo even though is in the rural areas are very thin but it should be wide so that migration to those areas can be automatic.. this reduces concentration on the major towns.

I am tired of Golgotha roads in this time and age. Many our roads needs dualization …now it is a hard task because of the dense population in those areas.. so why not from now build wide roads that will not require future dualisation making it wide enough for the future…our leaders simply lack Vision. Repeating same mistakes over and over.

Honestly Soludo is confused.. with so much expectation only to be a disappointment

Nice one bro. Also include Ifite Awka road down to Awka/Amansea boundary though I think he is avoiding the implication that comes with demolition since he is being dragged badly for the one he did in Ekwulobia and parts of Awka; Nevertheless your opinion is very good, I suggest you send him private message in his official account- Instagram, Twitter, FB if possible send it as reply to his story because he is very active on social media. He even added FB story 2days ago.

I love all the roads listed for dualization. Those dualization projects are a must to realize a liveable Anambra. Like you, I would also like all Anambra roads to be awarded to capable foreign construction companies such as Julius Berger and RCC. I would also want all major roads in our cities to be dual carriageways and well decorated with flowers and trees. I would also like a new Awka capital territory built with skyscrapers in its central business district.

But, let us WAKE UP to the reality of awarding roads to foreign construction companies such as Julius Berger, RCC, or CCECC! Whether we agree or not, Anambra DOES NOT have the resources to do all these things! So all the talk about Julius Berger, Arab Contractors, etc will end in the same "UNFULFILLED EMPTY DREAMS" of the past unless we change our mindset of seeking the most expensive methods instead of adopting the affordable and successful method that has been seen to work in transforming roads infrastructure in several equally cash-strapped states.

We have a template that we have seen so far that is effective. MASSIVE RECONSTRUCTION USING DIRECT LABOR & CONCRETE ROADS!!! Gov. Alex Otti is currently using this template to effectively rebuild Aba roads within the lean resources available. The good thing is that we have the local technology to build concrete roads, and it does not require the use of heavy construction equipment! If the money used in rebuilding 20 Aba roads was given to Julius Berger to construct a mere 300 meters of road in Aba, it still means the majority of the city has terrible roads except 300 meters on one street! That is why we must re-orient our minds away from the wasteful habit of always awarding to foreign contractors to do very short distances when we could actually reconstruct the entire city using direct labor and concrete roads. Which incidentally will last longer than the so-called Julius Berger roads!

Do not be deceived on the paucity of funds as claimed. Soludo awarded 14km of Roads at Okpoko at the cost of N9b i.e N650m per km. Even the almighty Julius Berger will be interested at that rate, but no, we are using an unknown company at that huge cost.

I have nothing against direct labour, but it should be limited at hinterlands of the state. We need seasoned contractors to make the state livable.

BTW, Otti is using Arab Contractors and Craneburgh in most of his contracts in Abia

Soludo should concession Roads to reputable contractors, and let them toll the roads on completion and we will pay to use instead of paying the equivalent at police check points.

Soludo is crafty and obvious even the solution park is outrageously costly… I just wonder… he is purely squandering. He is not showing any 3D graphics of the solution park … you will be disappointed with the outcome of a project gulping 2.4billion
Alex Otti is making waves because everyone is seeing the good works he is doing in a short time, he went on tackling the bad roads leading to all markets in Abia state to boost the economy.
When Dave Umahi was working everyone saw it and was happy..

The same with willie Obiano who did so well, now Soludo is littering excuses every where … about rain… is rain not falling in Aba..there is more rain fail in Aba than Anambra.

Soludo economic part way for Anambra is still not clear

What do you mean that he is yet to embark on his own project… Abia has the worst roads does he need a seer to embark on those Roads.

Being a Governor is to build roads and open economy of the state and that he is doing is great.. and also see what he has done in few months …
How do you mean only obedients are making noise? When Abia state was terrible I guess and believe the non obedients are happy?
Why is it we can’t cheer good things? Aba is the commercial nerve center of Abia state and he constructed abandoned roads and is only obedients are noise makers..

The only people happy in Anambra state right now is Soludo praise singers. Soludo touts and dilapidated roads have succeeded in making Onitsha less business-friendly.

Civil servants are crying because of the clock in and clock out introduced by this administration while other states are looking for a way to reduce the work days of their workers.
Gross disappointment from all quarters in Anambra state.

See the Solid drainage channels Soludo is constructing in Onitsha, the contractor started from Bridge-head Onitsha they're almost at Main market, they expanded the road one they're through with this road project it will be very easy for visitors to access all the markets

Only ignorant mind will be comparing Otti to Soludo
.

Firstly instead of name calling you show proof… everyone saw what Alex otti did, is not only obedients… do good and all will sing your praise

Secondly seeing these pictures tells the story that he is working you don’t need name calling .. and he should do more, bros Soludo is 2years gone … so remaining another 2years is purely half his tenure, and someone within few months is showing many things tangible shows seriousness(Alex otti)

We all want the betterment of Anambra and all south east states.. many south souths states have good roads we call out those here who are not performing.

Lastly what he is doing is commendable the works are good, he should more .. Obiano handled the bigger stuff infrastructures like Airport, bridges, ICC, lightning, oil and gas, and all.. he should go in that light we don’t want anything short.

All what we are asking for is development in Anambra.

Let me ask? So with this you have said he should go to sleep? And not build roads?

So you are now comparing Obiano with Soludo… we’ll support mediocrity all you want ..everybody knows Obianos first few months are way more better and promising than Soludo…

I never said Soludo should go and sleep but you can't be praising Obiano and tackling Soludo whereas it was Obiano that saw the total collapse of roads in our main cities.

Total collapse as in how?Was Obiano the only person that has govern Anambra before? Was the road there before Obiano came and bulldoze them?We must all agree that governance is not all about building roads alone.Obiano came with his own style of governance and have left the stage.let soludo tar all the roads in Anambra

My friend March next year will mark it 2yrs of Soludo's administration he is constructing many roads across Anambra not just Onitsha, Awka and Ekwulobia, many roads are ongoing with bridges, flyover and new government house, What Otti is doing now is exactly what Soludo did immediately he was sworn in, he intervened on many roads that failed across the state although he is not done, he reconstructed failed potion of Awka-Etiti-Nnobi road that was terrible, Umuoji road, Arroma road that link to Rapet Super Market, Regina junction by Zik's avenue, All saints cathedral church road Onitsha, New market road Onitsha, New market Ifite and so many others, those handling failed portions of roads are ACDA is just that Soludo don't have media team that sing his praise unlike Obiano, What Otii media team are doing once they drop pictures of any potion of road they constructed the Obidient will blow it out of proportion follow ACDA page you can see they have reconstructed many roads that failed including Amansi by express

Soludo employed 5000 teachers increase workers salary, he is not owing civil servants, pensioners or gratuity, he even cleared pension own by previous administration and you said civil servants are crying Crying for what if I may ask
