Y'all should try and travel down north ... I did my passport and collected it the following day no stress ... I had to travel down form Lagos to kaduna to do it ... It's all look like magic ...

I was able to pick up for my children. As the rule is you can pick up for only children below six years. So if your child is above six. Carry am follow body oo.

I discovered today that one doesn’t have to wait until six months before the expiration date before starting the renewal process.

My passport will expire in October 2024. I went to the passport office (Ikeja) today to make an inquiry. I was told that I could start immediately.

As a matter of fact, I made payment, and I was scheduled for the first week in September for biometrics and photo capturing.

Please I need help. I was told my passport was ready on the 17/07/2023 and I have been going to the Alausa Ikeja Passport office but they cannot find it met the 2i/c and the PCO yet they cannot find it. There is a passport number which shows it has been produced but they cannot find it. What else can I do in this case? I just need my Nigerian Passport

.... and let me share my experience which I believe to be useful for many here.

I did it through the DIY on July 6th which I captured on 10th. When I got to the immigration center in Kaduna, I chose any of the officers who I believed he's serious without knowing him. I told him to help me for capturing on time since they use to frustrate those that go for DIY at times. We bargained 5k, he went for verification of my NIN, within 5 minutes, I was called for capturing which I can say he dribbled the queue.

I was called by him yesterday that the passport is ready, within just 35 days and the passport is with me today.

My advice is make sure you involve any officer into the process to avoid delay.

It does not work like that at Ikeja Passport Office... It adheres to the alphabetical order...

You can only collect for minor. You have to go with your partner if your partner is included because of activation.

Did you apply online by yourself and book an appointment? The Nigeria Immigration Service still insists a Nigerian passport must have six months validity before renewal.
