A friend booked a free cancellation hotel with his master card with no fund inside, 10 days after the booking, the hotel sent him message that the hotel reservation will be cancelled that there is no fund in the card used ..

My question is , does he need to book another hotel reservation?

Note: He has the print out of the hotel booking with him. His travel date is next month.

I believe it would be better for her to keep the cash in her bank account and then give you her bank statement and a letter of support to demonstrate the kind of financial assistance she is prepared to provide you with if your visa application is granted.

I think he will be fine since he has a printout of the hotel reservation.

In case they ask for evidence of where he intends to stay and he has a copy of his hotel reservations to show, I don't think they will call the hotel to confirm.

I totally agree with you however, my proposed approach is she tops up my stanbic investment directly from her account. The 5m find won't be hitting my regular bank account, and then I plan to just get a reference letter from stanbic showing when my investment account was opened with current balance, this I would submit with my payslips and statements of my 2 accounts gtb and zenith where my salaries have been paid till date.

I hope this approach works, I'm open to comments and contributions from everyone

I have submitted and got my letter for biometrics. I tried to book online on VFS global website yesterday for Lagos but I didnt see any availability dates, is this normal? Has anyone successfully booked biometrics by calling the phone number on their website or using the webform? Please someone should guide me on how to book as I need to get this done asap. Any links or numbers to call to book biometrics will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

But my passport will expire by 31/ 05/ 2024.

Please house, can I renew my passport in order to extend the validity ? Before the expiration of 30 days ( starting from today) IRCC want me to submit passport for visa stamping

Will IRCC be able to reconcile my passport number with the new one I'm about to do?

Please should I raise a web form for this. The person that did biometric mis spelt one of the names but the application information is all correct. I called vfs today and the person I spoke to said it doesn’t matter that it will be processed with the information I filled. Should I still raise a webform ? It’s for one of my kids please

It's worth trying , but upload the new passport BioData page as additional documents and also send a web mail to that regard before you submit your old & new passport and above all pray for favour .
How I wished you started the process of renewal of your passport as soon as you applied instead of waiting til your approval .
Pls ensure you do all you can to get a new passport

I wanted to see if anyone has done that before, I am scared IRCC might suspect if I start the process of my passport renewal, after my Visitor's Visa was approved?

Or should I just submit it like that?
Because I only plan to visit and see the real situations in Canada for myself.
I plan to go by January 2024. Come back and make application for my entire family for a visit ( If I find out it will be okay for me in Canada),by then I will have renew my passport and re-apply.
Pls guyz I need your advise.
Do I have a better chance of getting another visitor visa by the time my passport expire by May 2024? Inclusive of my family?
