Hello, what is your opinion on the amount regarded as Low Income, Middle Income and High Income in Nigeria

Low Income (N30,000-N150,000)
Middle Income (N151,000-N400,000)
High Income (N401,000-N800,000)

I see anything above N800,000 as the elite class

How many people they earn above 400k for Nigeria? 80% of the populace are poor and living in squalor.

500k cannot be high income oo, especially if you live in Lagos.
Rent, tp/fueling will finish the money.

More than 50 percent of Nigerians working either in the private or public sector still earn below N50,000 monthly .

I keep wondering how people are surviving with such an amount.

It all depends on location of person. 800k is big money if you live in a small town but it is nothing when you live in major cities like Lagos and Abuja.

You guys should stop regurgigating this fallacy. There's still and there will always be middle class in every society. The middle class are those who are neither rich nor poor, yet, they are moderately comfortable. They have a house or two, they have a car or two, they don't have a very fat bank account but they are averagely comfortable.

PS- there's upper middle class as well as lower middle class.

In Nigeria as it is now, there are only 2 classes of people.

It's either you are rich or you are poor.

This is my own opinion.

Wait in this Tinubu regime? Anyone earning less than N200k in just existing. Just imagine you buy 100 litres fuel in a month for your gen, that is N65k, your Light bill is another N65k. Then you are left with N70k. Transport never enter, house rent, etc. The only option is to retire to the village
