Good morning my people, please which type of IELT is required for skilled visa?
Can PTE academics be written in Abuja because I didn’t see any Abuja test center on their website?
Is PTE Academics accepted for both Study and PR ?

Early Childhood Education is faster in terms of getting Grant while University Lecturer is easier in terms of getting an assessment outcome
True but this person does not have experience as an Early Childhood teacher. Only experienced as a lecturer.
Qualification assessment may not even pass with AITSL if the initial degree is not from a tier 1 university or a 5 year education course.

Hello house.. Big thanks to everyone contributing to make this easy and accessible to us newcomers.
My name is Elle and I’m looking to travel to Australia through the skilled migration route.
I studied history in university but my passion and experience is solely fashion designing. I am hoping to begin prepping for the PTE exams soon as possible.
I am a fashion designer and have up to 5years of experience.
So far, I’ve been able to find fashion design on the occupation list and read about it. But it’s still a bit confusing on what necessary steps to take and the assessment process too.
Please any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Hello, please check Vetassess definition of a fashion designer and be sure you are not miscontruing it for a Dressmaker/Tailor occupation.
For Vetassess, you need to have a Bachelors from a tier 1 university or a 5 year course to from a tier 2 university. So before you write PTE, check that you meet the eligibility based on qualification.
Also, I hope you have all the employment documents to back up the 5 years including tax statement and/or pension.

Hello House. Is there anyone here who is intending or has applied for a teaching Job in Aussie please get in signify. I have just few questions to ask. You can also reach me on giov826@gmail.com. I will be glad.
People don't get teaching jobs in Australia from offshore because there is a code of conduct for teachers and other trainings you need to do before you can teach in Australia similar to doctors, nurses etc which you will need to be in Australia to do them.
You need to assess your qualification and employment with AITSL if eligible.

I think the center (TATEC PTE Pearson Center) is no longer testing in Abuja. Perhaps give them a call.
Kaduna is the closest.
You need to check your occupation and the assessing body requirement to be sure if you need to write a specific English test.

Some good news
We got a positive assessment from CAANZ today for one of us.
Occupation: Accountant
Degree: Bachelors AQF (4 year course from a tier 2 university)
Note: we assume it was considered equivalent to Bachelor's degree due to the added ICAN certificate+transcript.

So for accountants out there with ICAN or ACCA, assess with CAANZ

Hello @tunlex01 and Bellong
I have submitted my Application for Assessment with TRA - MSA
It's been almost 2 months now and its keeps showing this.
Your application has been submitted

No additional evidence is needed at this time.

Advise if all is in order.
tunlex01:

I don’t think 3 years tax statement will work with TRA except you only have 3 years experience. Their guideline requires at least 2 pay evidences which covers the entire period being assessed.
I haven’t seen anyone use Statutory declaration for TRA. You may try that and let’s know if it works.
I worked in a bank and I know the manager is telling you BS cos it’s just extra work for them to follow up with the team that will pull it up. Raise the request in branch and their contact center. If you know any top person in the bank, copy them too.

Hello house.
Thank you all for the contributions and guidance. Ok my own is that I finished school early this year I studied Linguistics and communication studies in uniport and I want to further or do my masters in Australia and possibly get a pr there. So I would love to know a course I can do there that would help me achieve that. And everything that it would cost and the requirements I don't want to be taken unawares. Thank you

Oga Tunlex01, thanks for all you life changing contributions here.

Please can some one pay for my Engineers assessment from Australia while I credit his Naira account here.

Does it have any effect of the name paying for the assessment is different from the assessed candidate?

The total payment for EA is $1848

Started job from 04/2018, vetasses approved from 04/2029 to 2021. Still with that job.

Wrote to vetasses and they advised renewal application so the months from 2021 till date will count. I'm about doing that but only hope the ITA which elapses 21st October will still be there when the renewal results show. Unfortunately no priority for vetasses renewal.

Is there something else I can do? Has anyone had this experience before?

Please share or advise.

Hello All,

I am new here & I have followed up on the previous threads.
I'm in my mid 20s and have a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from a Federal University. I also have 1 year+ of experience in working in an Agro-processing factory as a Production Operator. Mech. Eng as an occupation appears to be an obvious choice for skills assessment, but I understand one can stand a better chance of getting invitation using other related (lower skilled) occupations. Considering my profile, please what occupations and perhaps visa types should I consider at this stage. Thank you

It is up to you to look through the occupation list to find out which one aligns with your experience and skills. However, with the little info you have provided, it is better for you to remain in mechanical engineering. Automotive technician would have been a good idea if you had the experience.

If you aim for supreme points in English, you canat least get a 491 invitation.

Goodluck.

Can someone help with the above or can I get an agent to help? 🙏

First check if the job descriptions of management consultant aligns with your experience. If it does, then it is a good option.

Secondly, is management consultant sponsored by any state? For any occupation you choose, you need options from states too for higher chance.

Thirdly, i can see you have had stint in human resources, you can nominate HR manager if management consultant doesn't work, depending on the cooperation of your company.

Hope this help?
