Wow ! Awesome thread 👍 I am a radio head ,grew up listening to the radio. Rhythm Fm's JAJ "seven at seven " music show , Ray power Fm's presenters , Cool Fm's presenters like Dan Foster (God rest his soul),Manny ,... Trust me. A comment section on an online public forum is not enough to detail my radio experience in Nigeria. I would basically need a novel to show the experience. Radio would always be relevant. I don't see social media replacing the Radio . It will always be a relevant media. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Dan foster.... Never had a dull moment listening to him. He was so inspiring, witty, funny, informative even occasionally spiritual. Such a talented broadcaster. Truly life is all about impact, what will people remember you for when you are long gone?? 1 Like 1 Share |

naptu2: Discovering Rhythm FM was one of the best things that happened to my life esp after Jamb had me stuck at home. I knew all the programs and presenters. An era ended when Kemistry left Midday show. Phoenix had the most soothing voice on radio then. Jaj for the hip hop heads. Wild Child (now IK) was the best of the best of the best. His Night shows were a party esp every Friday. Then DanFoster (God rest his beautiful soul) made me switch to Cool Fm later cos he Brough US radio down to Nigeria. His show with Olisa and Freeze (Now Daddy Freeze) along with Gbemi was very engaging. BeatFM eventually brought UK radio down to Nigeria with Olisa, Toolz and Gbemi revamping the sound of radio and having the latest scoop on what ever was hot. Honestly Radio was a major part of my life and God bless the radio presenters for sprinking their awesomeness into our lives. 8 Likes |

naptu2: This JAJ guy na real radio fossil. I started listening to him in the late 90//early 00s on Rhythm FMs Top 7 Jamz at 7! In addition to all you mentioned some other notable radio influencers for me over the years were; Dr. Flavour - A DJ on Eko FM who cranked out the baddest HipHop hits in the early 2000s. Bimbo Stalwart Obisesan on because Ibadan also cranked out HipHop hits on Saturday nights in the early 2000s. There was a Lanre Kool on Ondo State Radio Corporation too. Biodun “Double B “ a Current Affairs program host on OGBC on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. One of the programs was called Total Mood Turnover. I never missed an episode. I often ponder what his take will be on our current affairs today. and of recent Sandra Ezekwesili of Nigeria Info’s “Hard Facts”. That said Dan Foster is Nigerian Radio’s GOAT! 7 Likes |

Actually, the original version of that song was by Brian Hyland and it came out in the year1960. He was 17 years old when he released Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini in 1960. Funny enough he's alive and still performing at the age of 80☺️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge9Ou3-YyqU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICkWjdQuK7Q naptu2: |
