No my friend, you're speaking out of ignorance on the subject. ECOWAS just like NATO is made up of member states with agreement to rotate the chairman seat after a certain period of time. Yet the US is ALWAYS fingered in NATO ops due to their overwhelming contributions to the group. Similarly, the same could be said for ECOWAS and Nigeria. We are the major stakeholders of the union; from financing, military might and the likes. That said I'm more concerned about the aftermath of this exercise than of the exercise itself.
