Hello,
You can continue to study business analytics, as it goes with your work profession. All that you will have to do is emphasize more on business analytics on your SOP because it goes with your current occupation. Best of luck smiley

Hello Ikenna, sorry about your study permit refusal, the visa office was not convinced on the reason for your father sponsoring you hence your study permit was refused, there are conditions for sponsorship even if it your parent that is sponsoring you. Estimated time for GCMS note is 1 month

Hello good day everyone I am glad to join this platform and bring my situation on here and I hope I can get solution to my problem. I applied for a study visa this August which I got rejected but my proof of funds was enough (29 million naira) from my sponsor (Father), a Tuition Deposit, Investment certificate and other documents and I still got refused. I have applied for the GCMS notes to know why I was Refused. Please does anyone here have an idea of how long it will take for the GCMS to be processed? any other helpful information would be highly appreciated. Thanks....

The bank will return the funds to the account it was sent from, less administrative charges.

How does one open a GIC account from here? The list of countries to select does not include Ghana or Nigeria - from CIBC website. Same for Scotia Bank.

You can not be sure, it could be the course he choose or something else. His GCMS note will state the main reason. The free one takes 30days.

Procedure to open GIC. You can apply for it from Nigeria. I applied for mine from Nigeria

First you go to there website https://pay.cibc.com/ISBO/payment/#/ and create a profile.
1. You are applying for student GIC program

2. Minimum amount is $10000, you can do upto $20000 but bear in mind that this money will only be available on tranches for a period of 8 months or so.

3. Select resident country

4. Do not check the I'd like to pay in canadian dollars box

5.. you will see an amount in USD click on it and continue, that amount will be held for 20 minutes while u fill the form

6. After filling the form you will be contacted by the bank in 1-2 business days with an account number to pay into

7.. proceed to the bank and make the payment from a USD account

NOTE: payment can be only made once before you arrive to Canada. And PAYMENT MUST BE MADE FROM THE SAME NAME ACCOUNT OTHERWISE THEY WILL RETURN YOUR MONEY

Sorry, for the refusal.

Which day did you apply and do your biometric?

I guess the GCMS will be out after 30 days, according to people who have done so.

No it is not oooooooooo, he should also compare prices to Montreal instead of Toronto... I think it should be cheaper. Where ever he lands first in canada would be his POE, obtain his SP and move on to book connecting flight to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Congratulations

Wow! I know you are asking how long GCM takes, which is unpredictable. You can try the paid one or have someone in canada do that for you (that means you have to sign a consent form)

I am just curious.

1. Did you just submit the documents like that in POF without any explanation on the source of funds, receipts/pay stubs/ pensions on how these documents came about?
2. The BVL letter sent to you for rejection? what can you make out of it?what is the message?

Yes, there is hope for you. When is your course starting? If it is January then apply for your note today. By September ending, it should be out. Also, you can state all what you submitted and people could have an idea with what went wrong. You can also defer your admission.

Sorry for the refusal, which date did you applied for the visa? and which portal did you used to apply?
1. Did your sponsor account have good inflow and outflow? I hope it's not lumpsum in your dad's account?
2. How old are you? If you are mature enough, you might need to show proves that you are responsible and that you have a work.
Wait for your GCMS, only that would show where you need to work on

You can only change Naira to USD. When you get to you destination in Canada you change to CAD. For better rate try not to change at airport get to your destination . In Abuja BDC are in Zone 4 near sheraton.

Hello Adeshe, since your program is F 2024, and you have been denied visa before, you can prepare yourself by researching more on the process then apply Jan 2024
AdesheO:
Hi all,

I came here to ask for advice when my visa was denied two months ago. i will be reapplying as advised and i am in the process of differing my admission. The only available start date is September 2024 for Mohawk college. I need advise on when it will be a a good time to re-start processing the visa application for the September intake. My first semester fees have been paid which is roughly 10,000 Cad. Given that i will be going with my husband and 18 month old son what would you advise is a good amount for POF.

thank you all for your help.

My apologies. I meant 19Jul.
I got ID request on 16Aug and the notes on 17Aug.

I suggest you try the other method discussed on this platform that involves paying. @kenoja actually testified getting it within 9days.

Also take up the advise offered by @angie88.

But buy all means try more options to beat the time.

Best of luck.
