Putin is a murderous dictator. He has once again proven to the world why democracy remains the best system of governance. Once a dictator is in power, he can do and undo and no one can do shit about it. He simply doesn't care about anything but his own desires. This remains a stark warning as to why no matter what, democracy remains the best option for any society. 1 Like |

Olowunl01: Bros BH, ISWAP and the likes are not fighting conventional warfare, its guerilla. Attack and run into hiding. Even at that, our military men has done considerably well fighting those criminals. Infact it's because some of our neighbors are not even securing their borders that we continue to have these terrorist use them as a gateway whenever our military guys are on the offensive. Just imagine what will now happen when there full blown crisis there. It's the same way Buhari intervened and made sure that was no crisis in Chad after the death of Idris. Ecowas has been talking tough and till this moment they have started a war, theres a reason why. It's necessary to have the upper hand during negotiation of any kind to ensure that the junta doesn't get comfortable. I doubt any war is going to happen but Nigeria will surely intervene and make sure they dont compound the problem we are facing and dealing with. |

BlueRayDick: No be fight my brother. If you check the Chelsea thread during the start of the Russia v Ukraine war, you will see that I was one of those that actually supported Russia. No same country won't react and respond to crisis or intended crisis especially in countries that surround them. It is in our interest that countries that border us are at relative peace. |

larride: Funny enough I’m quite aware u supported the miliatry action in Ukraine cos I remember vividly well how almost everybody on the Chelsea thread argued during the start of the Russia-Ukraine imbroglio. In fact that’s the reason I was surprised and thought u would support any other means of getting the issue in Niger sorted without any kinda military involvement(either at the ECOWAS regional level or as a neighboring border country ). Bro, the truth is the most effective way of get getting desired result in Niger is military action. We saw how the west pummeled Russia with loads and loads of sanctions yet it has not deterred them from carrying on with their @special military operation “ in Ukraine. I read Algeria plans to supply Niger electricity after Nigeria cut them off( Tho I don’t know how true it is) , there are already economic actions against Niger yet the coupists are not giving up . As regards ur post to olowun101 in which u talked about the importance of having the upper hand during negotiations; well I’ve listened to different political analysts and read their thoughts on how poorly we’ve handled the whole negotiation thing with the coupists thus far. Most political analysts I’ve read/listened to believe ECOWAS and most especially Nigeria goof in the negotiation aspect. We started with what should’ve been the last option on the table . We gave an ultimatum for the junta to vacate seat of government , we cut-off their electricity which we supply them by virtue of a bilateral agreement , blocked their access to our ports and made it practically impossible for them to access the outside world from our end. That in itself is already a declaration of war before any negotiation took place. That was the probable reason they didn’t treat Sultan of Sokoto and Abdulsalami Abubakar well when they were sent as part of delegation to negotiate cos they felt why negotiate with someone who already has his boots on ur neck ? Whatever action the government of Nigeria in conjunction with ECOWAS decide to take eventually; I just hope military action is ruled out totally cos the optics shows that Northern Nigerians do not support military to the extent that they staged protests to express this. Also, any military action will leave a huge strain on our finances at this point in time when Nigeria is telling its citizens it can’t afford to fund a whole lot of welfare packages we’ve been enjoying before now. 1 Like |

Nothing official yet. Different stories here and there about the death of Wagner's boss Prigozhin. 1. Two planes belonging to the same man. One crashed and one turned around and landed safely in Moscow. 2. Ten people on board according to the manifest of the plane that crashed including Wagner and his 2IC but only 8 bodies have been recovered according to some sources. 3. Was Prigozhin and his second in command on board the second plane that turned around and landed safely in Moscow? Different conspiracy theories and propaganda here are there. We await the press releases from Kremlin, Wagner. |

BlueRayDick: If you check my post here on this Niger issue, I'm not necessarily pro war. I am pro intervention. Which means Nigeria and Ecowas should intervene in Niger and make sure that side is peaceful. I don't really care whether they practice democracy or dictatorship as long as they secure their side of our border. The essence of sanction is to bring whoever you are sanctioning tail in hand and at your mercy during negotiation. Niger is not Russia. So far the sanctions are having effect and they are already proposing a 2yrs transition plan. Its left for Ecowas to set terms and make sure they follow the terms. (I want to believe part of the terms will be they securing their border and allowing a smooth transition of power). Most of the terrorist up north recruits from these countries and use them as hideout and retreat route whenever our military are on the offensive. Look at Mali, with the way their coup leader was talking, you'd think they have a hang of things. Northern Mali is currently in the hand of Rebels. Do you know the ripple effect it will have all round west africa? The same Mali coup leader that lost 1/3 of his country to rebel is talking about supporting another country to fight war. |

larride: I think now ur position is very clear and a reasonable one. You do not support military action for obvious reasons and u also believe it is their kettle of fish in Niger to decide whether they want democracy or dictatorship/military rule. You are more concerned about securing our boarders, unfortunately most of the borders we share with other countries in the north are not manned by security agencies like we have in the southern part of the country(At least as at 2022 when the chief of defence staff lamented we have as much as 137 boarders currently not manned by security agencies). How we intend to secure our borders up north, I honestly don't know. As regards the Mali guy making noise despite losing 1/3 of his country to rebels, it is quite similar to our plight (Maybe not too similar sha) where some swathe of land are reported as being occupied by bandits who are law to themselves in those places. I read a news on FP last week talking about one of those bandit leaders in shiroro LGA Niger state who married a 16 year old girl in broad daylight. The story mentioned how his guys go about with AK's , collect royalties and protection monies from people of those areas before allowing them to farm. They even go to jumat prayers on fridays in large numbers. The same Shiroro LGA in Niger state was where the reported ambush to our military men happened last week that made the news. The chairman of the LGA even confirmed Boko Haram has hosited their flag somewhere in the LGA. Then u have places like Zamfara, Kaduna where the bandits still run amok. All in all, it is evident we have a lot on our plate security wise already. |

sod09: I really pray you would use your hand to see your own contradiction. Because if you acknowledge that indeed there is wrongdoing, then you blaming people who are asking for accountability means you actually support bad things. I'm sure that if the man came out, acknowledge that what he did was wrong and apologize in a right manner, the whole thing will die down. The aim of the "dragging" is to highlight the wrongness of these kind of actions. That you also think that it's only "feminists" your usual Boogeyman, that cares about injustice says all we have to know about your mindset. Seems like you hate people who seek to call out wrong. 3 Likes 1 Share |

sod09: I saw that video too. I think these guys getting involved in female sports should know they have an extra duty of care to themselves to coordinate themselves well . Football in particular is an emotional sports that can make u go haywire sometimes, but knowing u are a male in the midst of females who themselves are very emotional creatures puts u on the spot. You need to be more cautious so as not to embarrass ur lineage and ancestors. I remember how I went crazy at the viewing center for Arsenal's 2014 FA cup final win when Ramsey scored the winning goal in extra time. I threw away my shirt, hugged any random arsenal fan whether male, female, transgendered or hermaphrodite. The emotion was over the roof. If there was a camera somewhere who knows maybe they might have caught some inappropriate footage sef. Well I'm not a professional sha and the fact that those coaches and officials are professional, they expect them to act as one. Maybe they should just allow women to handle women sports so some of these things will stop being issues. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Their hands are not pure in the fight against terrorism. There are only after exploitation. They don't give a damn about any democracy. The Juntas are accusing the French of freeing some terrorists to fight against them but France are denying the allegations. Look at this screenshots . What type of puppet is this man if this is true.
