Brics is already proving too strong for nato. Admitting more countries into its ranks surely means that there will certainly be less countries for the west to torse or boss over.

Does it mean they have no vetting process? Is it an all comers affair?

They should only admit progressive countries like South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, UAE etc. But war torn and retrogressing countries like Ethiopia and Nigeria shouldn't be allowed until there is sanity in their countries.

Argentina that just dollarised it's economy. Ethiopia is just looking for free money from China nothin more.

BRICS is all about China. China has to make a lot of sacrifice for it to work, they are the only BRICS nation with economic might n financial muscle enough to counter the west and build an alternate global order....in terms of trade, financial market, new currency, new financial institution. China is the only BRICS nation that has the capacity to sustain it.

Unfortunately, China isn't ready to take up such responsibility. To China, BRICS is all about creating more exports market for their products...nothing more.
China wants more countries to join BRICS so they can open up their borders for more Chinese goods. Whether China would reciprocate in kind is another topic altogether.
Italy just announced they will pull out of BRI because they got nothing out of it.
While Chinese export to Italy doubled with BRI, Italian export to China barely had any increase at all.

That's to show u what will eventually happen with BRICS.
