Why do we create suspicion out of nowhere?

The guideline is clear, the money required for your studies and maintenance must be in your account for a minimum of 28 days and must not drop below the required amount for the days in question. The statement is also valid for 31 days from the 28th day; therefore you have met the minimum requirement. Please go ahead to submit your application.

The only caution is to ensure that the bulk deposit that is part of your POF does not reflect in the statement to avoid NSF and delay your decision time.

Please was your application successful? First Bank did not respond to the email from UKVI in my case. It appears that they have a problem. I contacted them and they are telling me they have escalated to the proper unit and I should expect a call back in 48hrs. Time is far gone. Does anyone have a quick fix for this? I did my biometrics on the 18th of July.

I’m using FirstBank too. FirstBank actually reply mails within 24hrs, I don’t think the issue is from them. I heard that few months ago one of FirstBank branches in Ibadan was dishing out fake POF to people which affected the whole of FirstBank’s reputation. I think anyone using POF from FirstBank should get a reference letter from them to back it up. That’s what I intend to do though I don’t know if that will help my application. If you find any better solution pls do well to post it here.

The calculation will certainly be based on #1015 for MA and #967 for dependants.

If you set Oanda calendar to the date MA submitted application and then type your funds (what you have in POF account) in the Naira column, you will get the value of your POF in Pounds for that day.
Then subtract the MA funds requirements (in GBP) from that value.

The balance in GBP is what you will consider as against #967 on the day dependants submit their own applications, to have idea whether your funds are sufficient or not.

Ensure you allow an upward margin to be on a safe side.

The rest were held on DMC
First paid call was on 2nd August
Escalated on 3rd August
Spouse interview was set up on 14th August
After the interview, all the remaining 4 applications were moved to VAC on 22Aug
Collection Mail same day and got the visas today 23rd August.

Documents submitted:
MA all post grad certificates
Marriage certificate
NIN
Birth certificate
Passport data page
Acc statement same for all
Form 1,2and3 I can't remember unless I read through it again. Some are for my kids.
No Marriage photos and newspaper change of name uploaded (Note I had them but didn't see any field to upload them, therefore, I felt it was not needed)

For partner:
Uploaded same thing and failed to upload wedding photos and newspaper change of name.

Note: because I failed to proof with more evidence like photos and newspaper change of name, it was difficult to ascertain if my marriage was genuine until the interview I and my wife gave them our Facebook names to check by themselves starting from our dating days to proposal and pre-wedding & wedding day.
My own advice is please be real and genuine and also provide all the information that can help ECO decide your application without further delays.

For my kids:
Nin
Birth certificate
Either 1 and 2 of the 3 forms above or the other way round. I can't remember now.

It was 3500 on my offer letter for the October intake but immediately I deferred, they sent another offer letter with an increment to 50% of my 12600£ tuition fees. I guess new academic year, new deposit.

To use my son as a case study. He's the only one in Nigeria, and he's married with 2 daughters. All of us are based in UK (7 of us to be precise) He listed everyone of us on his application and his visa and 3 dependants was approved in 2 days standard application. Having ties in UK does not negatively impact student visa application.

Please when one is asked to bring more documents to show what he has been doing since he has graduated in 2011. Must he show academic related documents. Since he is clergy man and has been working in the church without bank deposit that shows pay slip. Is it enough for the church to write a reference letter acknowledging places he has been working in the Diocese/church.

You have to include your pof so they ECO doesn’t think you’re recycling funds.

Go to your browsing history, search for the url where you first entered your passport number and continue with the registration or contact the clinic and let them advise you on further steps.
