Honestly, first of all I want to use this medium to tell everyone that applying for a UK visa is all God...

I applied for a UK visa 31st July
Biometrics 1st August
Priority

I received empty NSF the following day

Priority days passed and I have not received decision yet

I began to feel worried because of all the issues on ground

I waited for good 15 working days until I was told that I will be doing an interview after I have done 6 paid calls asking for decision

I was mentally stressed and depressed while awaiting decision for my student visa

Finally I attended the interview

And I was asked the following questions:

Interview questions


How are you feeling today?

What's your name?

And your date of birth

What's your mother's name?

Her date of birth also?

How is the weather like in Nigeria today?


Why did you choose to study this course?

Why did you choose to study in the UK?

Did you also check other countries before choosing the UK?

What can you say about your course?

Why did you want to study project management?

What can you say about Northumbria university?


What module in your course are you looking forward to in learning when you get there?

What are your aspirations in the future?

Are you comfortable with the interview and how it was conducted?

Do you have any questions?

Alright that will be the end of the interview,have a nice day?

The following day my application was moved to VAC

The next day collection mail and to God be the glory my vignette was looking pretty on my passport today

What I can deduce is that the ukvi department are really looking into not allowing people come in with other motives other than the reasons for either student or visiting

So they take times to do checks and this in return gives people headache as they have spent alot in their application which is non refundable
.

For everyone who is still expecting a decision,God will do your own for you and you will look back and say these times have passed

I’ve read the article… thanks a lot… she’s not applied for cas or visa yet but I think it’s less than 8 weeks for her program start… does this mean we won’t ever get our money back? £6,500 is a whole lot of money to let go by like that now

Edit: The answer is “No” according to their website. But I saw people at the centre last Saturday hence why I assume they can return passport at this time too.

I went to tls today for passport pick up but I was told they don’t work today. Have you received brp mail yet?

Please I was sent mail to provide for tb test and as advised here I did a cover letter and explain qatar is not part of the country in which tb is a prerequisite for uk and if I want to do it qatar did not have any uk accredited hospital to do it and I send to them till now anything. What do I do please

So for the past 2 to 3 weeks now we’ve been asking for refund. No reply from them. Pleas what else can we do to get this refund pls. The money is 6500 pounds.

Going by the article, your sister is obviously qualified for a refund. The next step is for you to send a reminder email to the school and copy all relevant quarters. Remember also to attach the receipts issued to you upon payment. I am sure you will be attended to in due course.

Now I have a question. I got married to my wife early July, we have been together since 2018(this is not an arrangee Lool). We have every required documents, pictures from 2018-date, call logs, chats, texts and bank transactions as far back as 2018, the invoice I used to purchase our wedding rings, and she has done change of name affidavit, newspaper publication but her admission letter and her passport carries her maiden name. But the thing now is there is no documentation showing proof of same address for the two of us. I was thinking we should do change of name and address on her NIN so we can at least have one proof of same address. But my concern is that her passport and admission letter still carry her maiden name. Would this be an issue? Please advise. Thank you!
