Umegoejiofor: i reckon that you check if your application says approve on your portal. go there with your data page and collect your passport because in Lagos visa office right now. it's a shit show. my mom took 3weeks plus, i just told her to go there and the passport was there. this is after chatting them up three times with an answer it is still in progress at the embassy. |

Anyone gotten the LMIA job? |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by SweetJJ: 8:56am On Aug 27, 2023 |
Canadahome: It depends. What is your status in Canada? PR or TR? What type of visa do you want to process for your MIL? Normal Visit visa or Super visa? How long do you want her to stay? Are you sponsoring the whole trip? If yes, the doesn't need to provide her bank account. Yours is enough. If you can show about 10kcad in addition to your paystubs, that should be good. But on a general note, it's usually good for her to show some funds in her account to show she is established in her home country. |

shyenar999: My two cents would be to travel to Canada with the intention of pursuing things legally. The system is very rigid with documentations even down to the groceries stores. They demand to see your immigration documents either (work permit +, study permit etc) that allows you to work in Canada before granting you an offer. You would be putting yourself under unnecessary stress and suffering with the illegality mindset. That's my two cents but the decision is yours! 7 Likes |

I don't know if it's same for every category but for visitors visa , you need to do it within 30 days after you got your biometric collection letter . I would advise you try and book an appointment as soon as possible as you may not get a date immediately. damosade: |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by puffmama: 12:46pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
Do you mean the date you receive your letter to go for biometrics . Some people get notified same day, some a day after , some a week and I presently know someone that's been waiting for two weeks . If you have not received a mail after a week , try and log into your ircc acct to see if you have a message Incase you missed the email quote author=damosade post=125384432]Please house what is the duration to go for biometric from the day of application submission?
|

Some.people.got their TRV btw 1-3 months after they applied and they don't have family and friends in Canada ..it seems they have reviewe their processing times or giving consideration to those that have uk , us and Schengen visas . quote author=Viking07 post=125383449]I still don’t understand why you’re disturbed. Forget about the application till 2025.
|
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ashirioluwa: 12:51pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
damosade: A biometric instruction letter will be issued after you submit your application online. The IRCC gives you 30 days from the day the letter was issued to do your visa biometrics. Also, the deadline to do the biometric is stated in the letter. If, after 30 days or the deadline stated in the letter, for one reason or another, you are unable to do the biometric, then you will need to contact IRCC through the webform, and a new biometric instruction letter will be issued for another 30-day grace period. |

Yes you can include it to support her ties in Naija and it's not just her statement , anything that can support her application, if she is a member of a church or any association, properties , or other children or grandkids in Naija , you can also include the pics and mention it in her LOE .if she has a business here , mention it too . I noticed the refusal letters I have seen of late .they mention that they don't doubt the sponsor's capability to fend for the applicant but they still need to assess the applicant . What this tells me is that it's not enough to have money and supporting docs. quote author=Canadahome post=125385690]Hello guys, We are expecting a baby and I would like to invite my MIL. puffmama: Some people are just lucky. Only the IRCC understands the pattern they are using to process applications. They don't consider the time factor. A colleague who has applied since March 2022, despite having visited Canada twice, the UK, the US, and Schengen countries, is still waiting for a decision. When he submitted his application, he had on his passport 10-year UK, one-year Schengen, 3-month Irish, and US visas, and he included evidence of these visas and travel history in his application, but he is still waiting for decision after one year. But his brother-in-law with only Kenya as travel history applied in February of this year, and he got a passport request letter this past July. 1 Like |

Hello House, I am about applying for Visitors Visa with my wife. My travel history includes USA (Once), U.K (Twice), S.Africa (4times) and UAE once, whilst my wife has visited only the UK and Dubai with me once. I am the main sponsor and intend supporting the application with a POF of 9m for both of us. I have a landed property and good job ties. However, my concern is that my US visa was refused at the point of drop box renewal few years back and the only running visa I have for now is 2yrs U.K valid till 2025. I hope the US refusal won't work against my application. I will appreciate your responses. Thank you. |

Canadahome: Are you familiar with the Canadian Super visa (for parents and grandparents) https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/parent-grandparent-super-visa/eligibility.html Should you decide to apply for the Super visa for your MIL, this would be the Financial support (proof of funds) You must provided the following documents: Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 for the most recent tax year Employment Insurance Benefit statements employment letter including salary, job title, job description, and date of hiring pay stubs bank statements For the Super Visa, the MIL doesn't have to privide any proof of funds. 1 Like |

It won't as long as you declare the refusal and the reason for it . They understand people can get refused , it won't be used to assess you as long as you are eligible for it . quote author=adelforreal post=125397159]Hello House, I am about applying for Visitors Visa with my wife. adelforreal: It wont affect your application as long as you declare the refusal in your application . It also depends on the severity of the reason for refusal. It wont be an issue if it is just for normal inadmissibility concerns like proof of funds, home ties etc and you are able to proof in your Canada application that your situation has changed and improved. All the best! |
