You season 1 is a solid 7/10 for me.

It's hard to believe but i just completed "You" season 1 and it's a nice series.

Indeed we live in a crazy world and funny enough, we have so many people like Joe in our world today.
Many people are married to people like Joe.
Many people are best of friends to people like Joe.
Many people are dating people like Joe.

It's even worst In a third world continent like Africa where the society and the government has made no significant provisions to protect us from people like Joe.

Why do we think we have so many blood ritual killings in NIGERIA?
Because Nigeria is filled with so many Joes.

The only thing i will have to tell y'all is to shine your eyes especially in our society and be careful.

The machine repair thing wasn't a big deal in the books from what I heard, the show just changed and expanded it...

Even if you ignore that episode 3, there are still 9 more episodes


For cracking cases...I don't think it was so.
Her entire motivation for becoming a Sheriff was to investigate what happened to her lover. She had no interest in the workings of the SILO or judicial.

And the only investigative work she really did were from the clues her dead lover left her and the people she already knew from before she became the Sheriff.

She showed no special investigative skills. Instead she had help from her dead lover and her friends/acquaintances

So I'm not sure what you mean by calling it woke

I really didn't think it would end the way it did especially given the name of the damn series. Omo Bravo to them.

Maan. first of all, i thought the ending was perfect and i couldn't see it any other way.

Great shows always have this impasse of being too good that they basically don't know how to end it, i thought this was going to be so, but the show runners threw some serious spanners in the work and totally blew me away.

i am of fan of a good show having as few a season as possible and ending on a very high note, this was a classic "3 season show" and getting a 4th season was a blessing in hindsight because they delivered and a season further and the story could have become bland pretty quick trust me, thereby tainting it's Goat status. For E.G GOT is like one of the best thing in recent pop culture history but a very bad last season nearly ruined it, if not the previous seasons were far too superior, the show could have faded into oblivion.

Now to the ending and why i think it is brilliant and probably one of the best ending to a show in recent times.

The official theme of the show is that it is "a satirical comedy show" and this played a very big hand in the end. "Succession" being the title meant somewhere along the line, someone was bound to succeed Logan Roy, now let's look at our choices, was is it gonna be Connor Roy, the "illegitimate son, that has been removed from corporate life all his life, to take over a multi billion media conglomerate? Hell No!, Logan would never, or let's look at Kendall Roy, a drug addict, an eccentric and an actual murderer who even tried to usurp Logan? Logan has cancelled him as a successor since S2 sef, or Roman Roy, the pervert immature man child? Never! or Shiv Roy? A woman to succeed??

So bro, in hindsight the entire show was about the children trying to impress Logan enough so that he would name them a successor, but the truth is that Logan is an unrepentant narcissist and the only thing that he probably loved more than himself is the "Waystar" Corp, and from S3, he decided he wasn't gonna leave it to any of his "degenerate children" but rather sell to GOJO, to protect his legacy...to protect his narcissist selfish ego...some cold cold parenting i tell you!.

Now, S4 threw a very large curve ball as early as the 3rd episode 😩😩, and I'm sure you know what i am talking about cuz i walking on eggshells here trying to avoid spoilers for those who might have not seen it yet, and Omg, i was like i haven't seen a shock like that in a Tv show since they daggered Jon Snow in S5 finale of GOT 😩😩. I thought it was a bold move and the show might not recover, and trust me the sub reddit page went mad that day, and people were on about, "I don't care about seeing the rest of the season" 😩. But my man pu7pl3!, The preceding episodes were one of the best acting i have seen in a TV show in a very long while!, so so good that in the Emmy 2024, 3 of the leads got the "Best actor in a drama nod!, like do you know what that means??, The 3 of them a competing against themselves for performances in the same show!!. The church scene at the burial of you know who and that final board meeting to vote on Waystar Corp sale was just peak tv show acting...so so good.

It being a satire comedy came into play in the end, with none of the "legimate successor" actually succeeding and As Logan Roy predicted, They self destructed and imploded on themselves and Tom Wambsgans, the supposed "runt" of the Show being named CEO of Waystar was peak satirical writing in the end if you ask me.


My brother in Christ, "Succession" is peak tv drama, the best of the very best, and only HBO could deliver this momentous feasting. Gargantuan network fr bro 😭😭.

I leave you with the words of Logan Roy to his children that encapsulate the summary of the entire show, He said "I love you, but you are not serious people" 🤭🤭

Tom and his wife is a prime example of "no put mouth for husband and wife matter" they overlooked him toomuch, even his right hand man Greg didn't have faith in him.
I absolutely loved it man and I'd recommend it to anyone anytime.

10/10 peak show.
