ttobizz:The same question I'm asking myself. Shouldn't the two persons involved be allowed to settle their issue in or out of court? And if the building wasn't approved, shouldn't the FCT wait for the court to decide and then either approval is obtained with a heavy fine, or finally demolished if it was the wrong structure for the area? 1 Like |

9jabox: Nah not in Nigeria where the person who builds wrongly knows very well that he is doing wrong but will still do it in the name of NOTHING GO HAPPEN! I know of some who bought a piece of land and when he came to fence it...if you see how he encroached on the road to the point that now, only one car can pass that entrance. Tomorrow when the gov't come for him, you and I will say they should have mercy. Our family house is fenced properly and fellow Nigerians like you came to tell us insultively that why did we leave so much space between our house and the road! Shey u see how we reason? Wike should bring down any and every building that violates the masterplan. 2 Likes |

miekoe: There are outlying lands in Abuja waiting for development. Destruction is a mark of beasts. Tinubu and Wike are not even after beautification of Abuja. Perhaps to get choice land to reallocate to their political allies after punising their political opponents. Environmental pollution from oil exploitation is driving away natives of Wike's riverine oil producing areas in the SS from their original homes. A recent BBC documentary said that infant mortality in these oil producing areas is alarming. Wike is in a struggle to be atop Rotimi Amaechi in the politics of Rivers State and Nigeria, because of that, he has sold his soul to the devil. He swore he wouldn't have malaria of PDP to join the cancer of APC. Wike queried why any reasonable human being would say he wants to continue from where Buhari government stopped. 2 Likes |

sunnitus:People's hard earned money indeed. Why not obey the rules and regulations. Don't build on places you are not supposed to. Why is it very difficult for a Nigerian to obey the law. When we go outside the shore of Nigeria we love and cherish their ways of life, we obey laws there. But down here we do anyhow and use excuses to break the laws. So if things are hard, does that make us not to use our brains? 2 Likes 1 Share |

With the accompanying glee the man used to announce his current role as demolition minister, one would’ve expected that infamous live band that followed him around faithfully, giving him soundtracks throughout his tenure to also be rewarded with relocation to play alongside the bulldozers as they go about their destructive duties! Dressed more like a gangsta than a govt official, they gave him the gangsta vibe that people so admire! But it is always better to like a gangster from a distance. Like a tiger cub in a cage. They always look soft and cute and warm behind those iron bars. Everybody's happy, smiling, waving, taking pictures. But you take away those bars and all that goes away. All that's left is the fear! Tinubu has taken away the bars and let loose a wild cannon on the unsuspecting inhabitants of the capital city, best beware the ikwerre gangsta! |

Go to your church or mosque to beg and stop using different monikers on NAIRALAND to swindle people. You have used over 50 monikers to beg. If you are genuine, you should have been known with one moniker. Using many is a clear indication you are a fraud. The way I see it, you'll soon get deliverance from the Devil. Keep thinking you are deceiving people. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed; covered that will not be opened. The great day of your revelation is at hand. 9jabox: Yes... Hence the demolition. There is nothing you can say to me as that is the right thing to do. it is a crime to build in a site not approved and the perpetrator could be jailed for it. Even you could land in jail as accessories to the crime supporting and defending a crime |

How can wike that just started work last week, start buldozing houses? People are just looking for who to hide under to unleash wickedness. Is not Wike that initialised this demolishing. How many houses did he demolish in River State, apart from Flyover houses and stores, he did not demolish houses like that. The ones on the street were he lives. Amaechi demolished more houses than wike. I will advise Wike to tamper justice with mercy, instead of demolishing, let them settle it. Demolishing is a waste of natural resources and wickedness. Federal government should inherit it. |

9jabox: Sad story indeed. However, sometimes we need to remove sentiments to get certain things done. In this instance Who requires a human face... The one whose land has been claimed illegally and has been dealing with trauma Or the dubious developer who has wrongly taken ownership of land and refused to heed warnings and has now plunged his investment Into waste... Clearly the former... Mistakes happen in the course of these things. Sometime the govt is high handed yes, In other cases property buyers make wrong purchases, falling prey to fictitious property agents... Leaving authorities little or no choice. The prayer is for people to be as thorough as possible With their acquisitions.. and for government to carry out due diligence and apply reason and compensation in some cases. 1 Like 1 Share |
