I am not sure blaming the youth serves any purpose. Is greeting your elders and respecting old people the most pressing issue? What of the elders who rob and steal the nation blind. Which moral code are they subject to? Abeg free everybody. The place is a jungle

Let's talk about parents. Which of the parents do you want to hold accountable?

the ones that grew up being cultists? or girlfriend to cultists? Most new gen kids will be initiated by their own parents. Fact.

The ones that you will wrongly send money to their Account and they call it MIRACLE MONEY?

the ones that grew up having at least one fraudstar which they hold in high esteem in amongst their family members or friends?

the ones that grew up fuxking their lecturers and took it further to their office bosses for favours?

the ones that grew up smoking weed and taking tramadol & blue?

The ones that joined police only to collect 50 naira?

A large number of modern parents are in the wrong career with No sense of direction. How can they direct their kids?

The parents that sit and laugh like fools in public with teenagers in the name of girlfriend?

the ones that openly support evil politicians for free T-Shirt?

which parents? the ones that you can fuxck right now for ordinary 5k in the back of your office? Yes, it is far easier to sleep with many parents than it is to get a proper greeting from their kids.

In igbo land, you don't give an elder something with a left hand
But where I live
I saw a boy of about 20 using left hand to pass food to a man of 80 years.

I tried to correct him but they said it doesn't mean anything.

That year in the late 90's
Students of UNN will us message, you born you to say no

trying to get someone who's naturally left-handed to give things with their right hand is trying to control them, not discipline.

Somethings we did in the past all in the name of discipline are just plain stupid

The boy is right

Nobody vex me ooo. I just noticed that kids of this century have lost it. Although, I don't blame them, I blame the parents. Awful things we couldn't do as kids in our time are what nowadays kids are doing and it's really astonishing.
Don't blame the parents, blame you and I who cajole people into marriage when we can see clearly that they are not prepared for it.
' your mates don marry '. This is part of the result and we will all suffer the consequences.

Good day, fellas. Most Nigerian parents focus more on their children's education but ignore their children's moral behavior. E.g Greetings, respect, good manners etc. I'm really disappointed in some children these days.

It's not their fault when most of them are struggling financially it wouldn't be easy to check on your child's moral

Respect is earned on merit.

Maybe you're undeserving of such, hence the rant. Just because one is older doesn't mean they command respect.

Now personally I don't see anything wrong in recieving or collecting with left hands because if left hands were bad

We would be created with just a single arm

But then we should respect everyone's culture but please we know some of this cultural practices are quite insensible

The culture should be cancelled. What if the boy is a south paw? He should be allowed to use his left hand and not render it useless because of one tradition.

You got kids of your own?

Those are your responsibility.

Train them to be examples to the other kids you're griping about.

It's not respect, it's just humans falling for the halo effect.

People like to feel on top, when you prostrate, the person you're prostrating to feels like he's on top and it suits their ego. Most people see it as respect but masters of manipulation can use it as a façade
