Where in the world or what part of this globe do people not disagree and fight over religion? Are you saying Yorubas are the only group where they have disagreement over mode of worship between the tribe?
This is not the argument. The argument is about adherents of a certain religion banning worshippers of another religion from celebrating their festival. Is Nigeria an Islamic country? Is Ilorin a Fulani Emirate or a Yoruba city. Let's start there.

raumdeuter:

In 100% Muslim societies Sunni and Shia will fight, in 100% Christian communities Catholics and Protestants will fight
Even within traditional worshippers Egungun will fight Oro adherent
No be the argument be this baba. We are not talking in fighting. We're talking state backed agencies, Alfas telling people they cannot practice their religion freely. We are not talking inter religious fight

raumdeuter:

Never mind where there are mix of religions in the same space

So your point about 2 different groups of Yorubas fighting over religion is what I am trying to understand
So what are we dragging here is it tribal or religious bigotry? We all know what will happen if in the East or parts of the SW with minority muslims they are banned from celebrating Eid

raumdeuter:

Every religion has their own version of intolerance. We are all aware of Xtianity and Islam intolerance whether historically or in current world Blueray shared his experience with traditional worshippers intolerance. Try prove your constitutional freedom of movement in when Oro people dey do their thing
Some are worse than others, we can't dispute this. As for traditional worshippers I'm also not in support of their excesses either. Anybody carrying religion for head and disrupting people's lives for it is just performing and doing eye service. Your creator no send you that one

Accountability is a good thing, don't you agree??

Are you not the least but curious to know the primary and secondary school your boss went to and at least to know who you defend just a bit more personally??

We can't have a "president" who seems to live a fake life. Whose history is entirely unknown. It's a shame to all the citizens of this country. It's a slap to our collective intelligence.

You should be hailing the obidients for fighting and demanding absolute transparency rather than this below.

PDP not being able to suspend Wike despite his blatant anti-party activities and open frolicking with the opposition is a heavy dent on them. It heavily undermines their future plans and dents their brand.

They need to grow balls and expel Wike from the PDP.

From what I know, most young men in PH are into Yahoo now but the population that blow from it will be 1 in 1,000

Example, I caught my young cousin Simon who relies on me for monthly subsistence doing Yahoo work from his Watsapp profile. This guy is dead broke. These are the other 999 Saheeds/Simons that haven't made it.

My heart sunk watching this.

Will nigeria ever evolve in our lifetime? These young men brought no harm to anyone, they didn't inflict pain or incur damage to a single soul, so why are they being humiliated for expressing themselves the way they see fit??

Conservatism has always aligned with hypocrisy. You react badly to people different from you simply because you don't understand them.

Nobody deserves this kind of treatment simply because they want to live their lives freely. And if you support this kind of public humiliation and embarrassment for these people who just seek to live a merry life and nothing else, you are an ignorant fool sorry to say.

My heart goes out to these victims of injustice, they suffer the disease of an ignorant and hateful society. It's just soo unfortunate. In advanced society, these people would live a fruitful and happy life without having to deal with this stigma. So so sad. I deeply empathize with them and what they are going through. May they pass through this ordeal successfully.

The quote tweets are actually a sort of consolation. It's heartening reading the comments condemning the police for the gross violation of these peoples fundamental human rights. Gives hope of our future.

The crux of the matter is that YORUBA residents who are of Islamic religion have a Problem with YORUBA residents who are Traditional worshippers. Both of them are YORUBAS so how this became Fulani or some agenda is what I still don't understand

This is not new with people even in the same family having religious differences. Father have disowned sons for following different beliefs

What is mischievous is trying to draw a narrative from it. If we search properly we will see adherent of every religion overstepping their bounds in every state in Nigeria and in almost every part of the world

90% of Nigerians identify either as Christian or Moslems and our traditional religion have been vanquished, If you are concerned about Ilorin that still remember their traditional beliefs when will you speak about the many states whether in the North or South who dont remember it again nor even dare to celebrate it while following the religion of the foreigner

Kudos to people of Ilorin who still try to remember their traditional religion in the face of opposition unlike 90% of us who do not care

Tinubu's Buhari really showed us pepper.

This is the man that Tinubu presented to Nigerians, packed his cabinet with his stooges and then remained silent as they sent this great country down the bottom of the pit.

A continuation of government extravagance.
It's not as if these people are not already heavily loaded or don't have super cars already, but they just seek to loot for looting sake.

Why is it a majority Moslem town beyond the obvious reasons why Many part of Nigeria are dominated by one foreign religion or the other which is that they met foreigners who made them abandon their native religion?
Why is Kano Minna Ilorin Moslem dominated while Akure, Port Harcourt and Calabar Christian dominated?

A40:
Can you name 1 or 2 rights of moslems that were affected by this declaration?

When a governor of a state in a secular country is declaring his state for one religion yet you are complaining about using instrument of the state. What instrument of the state pass Governor making such statement in favour of one religion.

A40:
Ilorin is a former Yoruba town now Fulani run, I see a bunch of house niggas doing too much
How is Ilorin Fulani run? Every governor of Kwara state is Yoruba, Every Emir of Ilorin is a Yoruba person, All the decision makers are Yoruba people. So Yorubas embracing the foreign Islamic culture is the problem? Just like many places in Southern Nigeria embraced the foreign Christian culture. Most dominant Islamic dominated places have an Emir. We have Emirate in Qatar. I don't know if Qatar is Fulani run

A40:
Doesn't make it right. Even Bible said Salvation is personal
And it is wrong. My narrative is that you can't be pro Yoruba and not take umbrage with people not letting other Yorubas practice their traditional religion especially with the history of Ilorin
Every religion is personal yet we have seen in history where these religion were propagated with force and people killed for not obeying this new foreign religion

How many people pro Yoruba, ProHausa Pro Ibo, Pro Itsekiri Pro Idoma still practice their own traditional religion in this age? Actually Yorubas will be the people with the highest number of traditional worshippers among the major ethnic group in Nigeria.

Isn't it funny that someone be it Yoruba, Ibo or Efik who has forgotten his own religion will be the one trying to take umbrage with a section of Ilorin people still trying to remember theirs despite the opposition they face

I am Yoruba I don't even know what Isese religion nor their mode of worship till recently. I have heard of Oya, Ogun Sango Obatala Oro but never Isese

A40:

Everything you said here happens in every town city and country where a dominant religion oppress the minority, why the hyper focus on Ilorin or Yoruba is the agenda part when religious oppression is common in many places

Imagine a man whose career is training female gymnast or female Greco Roman wrestlers. That is a METOO all over him for unwanted touches

Coach Athlete relationship gets very personal that many of the female athletes marry their coaches. Which wont be unexpected if you spend 5hrs daily around one man with blood flowing in his veins

Men have been training female gymnasts and wrestlers for decades. I suspect if they refrain from French kissing their athletes their chances of getting in trouble will be drastically reduced.

This man got in trouble for sucking lips. It wasn’t a training incident.
