Ordinarily, he would be deported but because he has a child that is a citizen and also with a citizen mum, he is good to go. Just be in the good books of the akata babe. If the akata babe dey against am, he will be deported straight up |

jaxxy:Selective justice is no justice. Just imagine Buhari using state assests to arrest Atiku during his reelection bid of 2019? That's a new low for the purported land of brave and free, something below the belt and expected from a 3rd world country. Again, by all indices, America is also a shithole less 3rd world country with nuclear bombs. |

Unperturbedpota: Hey retar@ded idiot, pls go back to night school in your village. I won't be surprise if this imb@cile is posting all these trash from one remote village after getting drunk on ogogoro. You can deport who? A US citizen before your father even met your mother? You will deport someone just because you said so?. Even Biden can't deport any US citizen unless an immigration court of law/judge gives the go ahead. Dumbest retar@ed đ monkey đ. Pls STFU and get lost. 1 Like 1 Share |

Onefornaija24: Deportation is one of the most common immigration proceedings that non-citizens can face. Illegal immigrants can be deported (removed) when they no longer have the authority to remain in the country due to expired visas, illegal entry, and other violations. But can green card holders also be deported? Immigrants who have obtained a green card can live and work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. Although green cards give immigrants permanent legal status, it does not exempt them from being deported in certain cases. The following will help you understand why green card holders can be deported and how you can protect your legal rights in immigration courts. Deportation and Immigration Law Like all citizens, green card holders must abide by U.S. laws. But for these residents, legal violations can lead to deportation depending on the circumstances of each case. According to U.S. law, any non-citizen may be subject to removal. In some cases, green card holders applying for U.S. citizenship can face deportation as a result of discoveries made during background checks. But non-citizens are more commonly deported due to criminal activities including the violation of immigration laws. Crimes That Lead to Deportation for Green Card Holders In most cases, deportation proceedings are levied against immigrants who have committed crimes of moral turpitude or those classified as aggravated felonies. There are additional criminal violations that may also lead to the deportation of green card holders. Crimes of moral turpitude consist of the intent to harm other individuals or their property, theft, fraud, and larceny. Domestic abuse and driving under the influence may also fall under this classification. In order for green card holders to be deported, crimes of moral turpitude must have been committed within the 5-year period following their admission into the U.S. Committing two or more criminal acts of moral turpitude at any time after a non-citizen has been admitted into the U.S. may also lead to removal proceedings for green card holders. Aggravated felonies include drug trafficking, murder, rape, money laundering, sexual abuse against minors, perjury, and other crimes. Conviction of an aggravated felony will result in deportation. More importantly, convicted non-citizens wonât be allowed to re-enter the United States. Legal Protection Against Deportation Green card holders who violate U.S. laws arenât removed immediately. This gives immigrants a chance to protect their legal rights in immigration courts. Some cases may allow you to obtain a waiver that grants legal forgiveness. Defendants must apply for this waiver, and your immigration attorney can help you determine its availability as well as other potential strategies for your protection. Green card holders have the legal authority to reside in the United States. Although this provides some level of protection against removal, it doesnât mean that these non-citizens canât be deported. Understanding the reasons why green card holders may be deported is the first step in securing your legal status in the U.S. Consulting with an experienced immigration attorney gives you the resources you need to protect you and your familyâs wellbeing. 1 Like |

DiscoverID: What you are trying to say is if you do illegal things, you can declare to run for president to avoid being held accountable. Running for president shouldn't be a cover to evade justice What Trump did is something only 3rd world countries do. Even in 2000 election between Bush and Al gore that was decided by less than 250 votes, the loser still conceded and gave a beautiful concession speech and moved on. If Trump is not prosecuted for his actions, it will be emulated by all politicians across board. Imagine if Biden loses in 2024 and follow Trump playbook to overturn the election and now declare to run for the next election to avoid being prosecuted. Everything Trump is facing is strictly by his own making cos of his flawed character. We all saw the tweets, the videos and audio of him doing what he was accused of. I don't like Biden but Trump is the most flawed politician I have ever seen. |

xandy84: True, but all things being equal, better to be a US citizen than not when dealing with the exact same situation. Like in this situation, with a US citizenship, the guy would at least be able to stay in the US with his children. And though he would be a felon, if he really wanted to he could find opportunities. But, because he's not a citizen he'll most likely be deported. |
