donjazzet: That's why there is a law which everyone who wants to continue to live freely in a society must adhere to. The good thing is the law does not permit homosexuals to be killed, but rather go to prison as is prescribed by the law. Even the west which u always argue in favour of brought us the concept of rule of law and by the concept u are expected to obey the law . All these emotional diatribes u are writing do not change anything. By the way hope u know that open show of affection by same sex attracts 10 years imprisonment. Ignorance is not an excuse; being an advocate/activist for same sex copulation will not save u either. Happy Empathizing o 3 Likes |

Man was not made for the law, law was made for the man. Sometimes, laws can be unjust because the people who made the laws were unjust. Laws are not infallible and in such situations where the law is blatantly unjust, the only moral recourse is to fight against it because the law itself has become a self defeating injustice. And if you decide to hide cowardly under the banner of unjust law to oppress people because they are different from you, then you are as evil as the unjust men who made the unjust rule. 1 Like |

Examples of how laws can be self defeating. Immoral laws made by unjust men to suppress and terrorise minorities which indeed did "reflect the position" of the masses. Nazi Germany 1933. The Nuremberg laws are passed in Germany's parliament by Nazi Germany. The Nuremberg laws makes it illegal for any jew to have sexual intercourse with any German citizen. Jewish citizenship were revoked in Germany and rights to ownership of property stripped. 3 Likes

The malicious practices act was a set of laws signed by Nazi Germany which gave the government the legal rights to spy on its Citizens and legally purge political opponents for criticisms they seemed "offensive to the German state". This act officially gave Hitler absolute dictatorial powers as he now had legal rights to commit inhumane acts against a large number of people. 2 Likes

There are laws regulating fishing in some western countries. Maybe we should tell states like Bayelsa, Delta,Ondo, Benue, Kebbi, etc which fishing happens to be the major profession of their people to import those American laws so that hunger can choke them. If u are saying laws are made for people and not people made for laws; then the right question that should follow is: WHO ARE THE PEOPLE ? The people in question are Africans who do not want to adopt the nonsense woke culture that is pervasive in the west for now. Laws do not drop from heaven, vallaha, aljana, or any other sky place. It's the people of such area that draw up laws from their customs, traditions , culture and what is generally acceptable by the populace. 10 Likes 5 Shares |

Algeria partners with China to construct a six thousand kilometre railway lines within Algeria. The lines will connect all Algerian regions & cities. This is how to promote national development & unity in a country run by competent leaders. |

BlueRayDick: These set of laws Below were widely popular in Germany at the time. Do you think these laws you see below were fair and justified? What do you think about these codified laws which were indeed acceptable and popular to the masses at the time? 3 Likes

I believe eventually, gay marriage will be legal in most parts of the world (including Nigeria). As long as humans have formed civilizations, gays have been there and will always be there. Until science figures out the way to remap neural pathways responsible for homosexuality, they’ll always be here. However, different societies evolve at different pace and you cannot force a society to accept an ideal when they are not ready for it. For example, slavery is still legal in Mauritania. That’s an example of a society that is lower on the evolutionary rung than Nigeria (I mean slavery is illegal in Nigeria) Then even within different states of the same country, you have different rates of acceptance for the same concept. For example, gays have more acceptance in California, than in say Alabama. Nigeria is not ready for gay marriage. Our evolution never reach like that. Until then, you must agitate and face persecution. That’s the way it has always been historically. |

DeadPresidents: I think you've indeed stated facts. It's true that we are progressing albeit very slowly in our values but nonetheless it's frustrating personally knowing and seeing how slow that progress is. And worst of all, knowing that you are personally ahead of the curve so are doomed to be persecuted for holding a position which seems broadly despicable but inevitable in the future. 2 Likes |

BlueRayDick: Actually you didn't, you cowardly hid under the banner of "it's our written law so all must abide" to hide your seeming bigotry and hatred against these innocent people. You hide under the laws because you support those hateful and dehumanizing laws. That's very shameful for an individual who has shown capacity for deep intellect. You should be strongly ashamed of yourself for this. 2 Likes |

BlueRayDick: You excluded the part where Ali Bongo (what a name by the way) got the senate to agree to a law that allows him to APPOINT senators. Yes, APPOINT senators. There's something about central Africans that is just insane. If you look at Gabon's neighbours, there's a very lamentable trend to be observed: Cameroon- Paul Biya - President since 1982 till date Equatorial Guinea - Theodoro Nguema - President since 1979 till date Central African Republic - Jean Bedel Bokassa ruled from 1966 to 1979...this one even coronotated himself as Emperor Bokassa I of Central Africa (Google it) Burundi - Pierre Nkurunziza - President from 2005 until his death in 2020 DR Congo - Mobutu Sese Seko ruled 1965 -1997,deposed in a coup by Laurent Kabila 1997-2001, whose son Joseph then ruled from 2001 - 2019, after his father's assassination. Congo Brazaville - Dennis Ngueso - President from 1979 till date. These people are literally insane. 5 Likes 1 Share |

nihilistjnr: It's that cameroun own that annoys me the most. When I was in primary school doing current affairs the answer to " Who is the president of Cameroun" is Paul Biya. Through out my stay in primary, to secondary school, my first degree, masters and years of working the president of Cameroun is still Paul Biya I don't understand the tolerance level of those countries u listed honestly. And it's not even as if those long term rulers have developed those countries over time to enviable standards. 2 Likes 1 Share |
