You're the one chasing shadows because the person concerned has owned up to the error and the school have not been assertive that the error was committed by them. Tinubu might have gotten the certificate through the back door. The days are pregnant that all dark shades will be made manifest in light.

The admission was not in the Nigerian tribunal but recently in a us court.it has no bearing on the tribunal case.the tribunal will write it's judgment purely on what atiku presented at the tribunal not what happened afterwards kid.besides the error was blamed on the school and the school never denied it.in a criminal case,an accused is innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt which involves the school testifying in open court.wherever or however tinubu got the cert is immaterial as far as the school owns up to it.only a school can decide who their graduate or student is,what their certificate is just like how a political party reserves the right to who their member is.it is an internal matter open to students and the school only not outsiders.

I had expected you to cite cases of forgery where a petitioner won without the issuing institution was called to testify, you can't.all cases of forgery since 2020 supports tinubu.morality is not law.atiku has failed and obi will fail woefully

You guys should try and be using common sense. The petitioners never claimed Tinubu didn't attend CSU but claimed there were varying degrees of errors in his certificates. Tinubu might have gotten the certificate through the back door, as they hurriedly produced it for him. This case is liken to the case of Mnesoma who truly sat for JAMB but went fortifying her record.
So, you people should stay within what was required. It's not about him attending CSU but certificate errors that is not in tandem with the subpoenaed CTC obtained from the same institution.
He attended but the school hurriedly produced certificate for him through the backdoor?
Make it make sense and break this down for me because you lost me here.

He seems to enjoy controversy in politics.
For years PDP brandished a rumour that he owns certain properties in Lekki. Much of those claims weren't true but he never debunked any and prevented Dele Alake from commenting on them.

He seems to like controversy, right? That's a luxury he can't afford.

You can't court controversy for the sake of it when you have this much ethical baggage.

@lawani

The man certainly graduated from CSU to have worked for top consulting firms in the U.S. and Mobil, [now Exxon Mobil]. You also saw the attached video confirmation on page one posted by a Nigerian school mate of Tinubu at Chicago State back in the 1970s.

^^^
First of all, you don't have to graduate from CSU to work for consulting firms or oil companies. It isn't a requirement. No relationship whatsoever.

Second, there is already a credibility problem with Badejo's video. Several other posters have already pointed out how they dismissed the video immediately they saw Donald Duke's pictures. Why then should we believe anything Badejo says? undecided

Third, all of this online back and forth isn't really important. What's important is what the US judge rules in the case before him - and the implications of that ruling for the election tribunal and other courts at home. Atiku's legal team have made their submissions and the judge's ruling is what we are all waiting for.

Till then.

The person who attended the school and got the first class was certainly a female. No doubt about that. Tinubu can not graduate from a university

There was no first class honours degree.

are you saying you don't need to graduate from a credible university to work with Delliote or Mobil? That you can just walk in there and get a job?

Of course not.

You generally have to get a good class of degree from a good university to get into top tier companies - both in the USA and Nigeria.

The poster I quoted stated that Tinubu certainly must have graduated from CSU to be able to work for top tier companies. I am disputing that statement because it doesn't make sense. Have any top tier companies expressly stated that CSU graduates are the people they are looking for? undecided Has any top tier company expressly stated that CSU grads are automatically guaranteed employment? undecided

since you agree a degree from a top tier university will be needed to work in such places it means Tinubu must have graduated from one of such places right even if not from CSU......

Note my use of the word 'generally'.

Academic records are not the only criterion in the hiring process. There are some applicants (though few in number) to these top tier companies who have some significant non-academic achievement that may swing the recruitment decision in their favour.

And let the point be made clear: CSU is not a top tier school (again, no offence to CSU grads). It does not have a stellar reputation in teaching and/or research in the US system. Having said that, the key thing in all this is the ruling of the US judge on the requests made by Atiku's legal team.

The ruling is what we are all waiting for.

First off, reading this your post now, you have had me quoted wrongly! I NEVER said "he MUST have graduated from CSU" like you incorrectly stated.

I was CLEARLY very CERTAIN in my original post that you quoted that Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu went know to Chicago State University.
I know full well he went to CSU and I stand by my earlier post. Period.

I've been a veteran member here on NL with my older account since 2005, so I'm older in age, and I know full well when the Tinubu court cases took place in 1993. He was set free by the Federal Authorities in the U.S. [and over $1million was returned back to Tinubu's bank accounts by the authorities in the U.S. He only forfeited $400,000].

I do NOT want to delve into this issue again because IMHO, Tinubu himself is guilty of NOT being pro-active in debunking fully many of these allegations from over 10 years ago and sue those DEFAMING him. His son 'Seyi Tinubu too is a UK-trained lawyer, [but he and his father have been annoyingly very slow in sueing any one except Raymond Dokpesi's DAAR Communication that was sued in 2015 for over a N1billion and the court asked DAAR to apologise to Tinubu on prime-time TV as part of an out of court settlement brokered by Mike Ozekhome, SAN].

Attached BELOW is more pictorial award evidence indicating that President 'Bola Tinubu went to Chicago State Uni.

I don't understand. Can someone become a Treasurer in Exxon Mobil without being a professional? As in be an accounting professional?.

As far as I am aware, Bola A. Tinubu "graduated with honours" according to a statement (one of the many flying around) purportedly from CSU. But what honours? undecided

A 3rd class degree in the Nigerian university system is still one with honours - so the purported CSU statement is meaningless until they state exactly what honours the student graduated with. It isn't clear why CSU didn't adopt the Latin nomenclature for its honour classification, but that's a topic for another day.

I agree 100% with you Opposing the ascension of Bola Ahmed Adekunle Abibat Gloria Tinubu or any of the aliases he dons on, is a task every sane Nigerian should support! If a drug mule with court proofs that he was sanctioned years ago for Narco trafficking and also doubles a corrupt election rigger who forged certificate of a university is allowed to stand, then even a reborn Aninih would one day want to lay claim to the presidency too!

Imagine a sane human being defending this old drug peddler? Ndi mmdau sef *Spits*

I have noted your point - my use of the word 'must' implies a degree (however small) of uncertainty...whereas you said you are certain (i.e. 100% sure) that Bola Tinubu went to CSU. Fair enough.

But...my point still stands: there is absolutely no causal relationship between a CSU degree and a job with top tier companies - and your original comment up there explicitly makes this claim - that a causal relationship does exist. CSU is not by any standard a top tier US university in teaching and/or research...so if any such claim (of attractiveness to top employers) is to be made, it cannot be made by the CSUs of this world...or their proxies.

It can be first class because he can't lie about the degree and also lie about the honors. The news being bandied about is that he had first class and I heard it from his mouth on TV saying he had five job offers waiting after graduation but all his identity before going to CSU is hidden though he is actually from Iragbiji. He was a drug pusher and probably an ex convict too in the trade of stealing IDs to launder money but how the late Iyaloja came to be dragged into it is what is not clear and I don't think the lady Bola A Tinubu was his wife as that is one way to link the Iyaloja except the Iyaloja was into drugs as well but obviously the Bola A Tinubu was her daughter now late and she definitely was the Exxon Mobil staff. Everything will be uncovered in due course of time. Fools really are brave. The A will be a female Yoruba name

In the US system, most universities use Latin terms ("Magna cum laude", "summa cum laude", "cum laude"wink for distinction in school. In no forum has it ever been said that the man graduated with distinction. So where is this 'first class' myth coming from? undecided

Funnily, if these deranged clowns were using their brain, they would send message to Chicago State University like others have done (including myself), to make an inquiry if Tinubu did attend the school. The answer had always been he attended the school.

More reason why I don't want Tinubu to continue to let such foolishness slide. Let him take the offensive mode and teach lessons to the brainless toxic nuisances!
