The Federal Government, through the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the United Nations Office of Counter Terrorism (UNOCT) have signed Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) to further strengthen counter terrorism efforts in the country.

The MoUs envisaged further cooperation in various areas including countering terrorist travel, financing of terrorism, border and maritime security, and delivery of counter terrorism training in Nigeria.

Uranium can generate electricity. How can any sane society grow her economy without constant power supply? The same niger republic with huge uranium deposits depend on 9aija 4 electricity!.. Do we even have constant power in 9aija.

Africa need all the tech Transfer it can get...maybe if Gadafi had them, nato 4 think twice before they invaded Libya & killed Gaddafi.

It cost billions of dollars to build a nuclear power plant. Building a dam on the River Niger would be economical but Nigeria pleaded with Niger not to do so and in return supply them with power.

Simply because you have something does not mean you can exploit it.

At least they don't mine water. The river in Congo 🇨🇩 has the capacity to power the whole of Africa but yet Congo 🇨🇩 don't have adequate power supply. I hope it is not the mystery west taking this water to france at the expense of the Congolese.

I totally disagree. The amount lodged is insuficient to defend the peg.

When a currency comes under pressure and the central bank is determined to make sure it sticks to its value, it spends large amounts from its foreign reserves to achieve that.

Why haven't any of the Francophone countries that have fractured dealings with France ditch the CFA? Make they try!. Their economies will implode, the currency they introduce will suffer a free fall.

Between 2008 and 2009, Charles Soludo spent about $20bn to ensure the exchange rate remained at 120 despite the fact that the price of oil fell from $128 to $35 per barrel

Sanusi spent about the same thing in 2012 trying to prevent the Naira losing value.

When people blame Jonathan for the depreciation in the foreign reserves, it is the central bank governors that should take the blame and not GEJ.

We just want to believe a narrative that these rich countries simply want to exploit Africa and keep these countries poor.

Their policies in the last 3 decades prove otherwise. Keeping countries poor simply means emigrants from these very same countries will flood theirs.

Also, the richer African countries become, the greater the quantity of goods they can export to them bringing greater prosperity to all.

My narrative doesn't sound sweet. It's best to nelueve the IMF and World Bank only wish is to do the bidding of the West which is to impoverish poor countries and heap on them as much misery as possible.
The simple economics is that the inflow of monies into an economy strengthens that economy's legal tender.

This is why I say you guys just put out stuff.

Let me start first by asking you, what is the official currency of France? and who owns it?

The outlfow of money from an economy weakens it while it strengthens where is it going. That is why there is a cap in the money you send back home.

Is it symbiotic in terms of immigration?

Is it symbiotic in terms of trade and investment? Heck, African countries can’t even open their borders to neighboring African countries for business and trade but it is the West that is your problem.

Is it symbiotic in terms of travel? African countries can’t even be symbiotic when it comes to travel but the West is your problem.

Is it Symbiotic in terms of educational exchange and investment?

Is it symbiotic in terms of loan forgiveness, fiscal and debt sustainability?

Is it symbiotic in terms of assistance with primary healthcare support?

Is it symbiotic in terms of technology transfer?

My answer to your question is No.

My simple question to you is who controls all the indices you have mentioned?

What is the official currency of France and who owns the official currency of France?

If it is not symbiotic like you have answered, that means Africa has actually been the parasites that have benefited from the items I listed.

Who controls what? Are the resources in the West? Why can't African countries trade with other African countries instead of the West so they are independent?

Why are Africans leaving in their droves to the West for better pastures? Have our leaders done enough to mitigate the exodus of young and productive minds out of Africa?

Why can't African countries open their borders and passport to other African countries to boost trade and investment?

We know how Chinese company owners exploit Nigerian employees in Nigeria. How about Lebanese and Indian employers of labor in Nigeria? Should we also blame the West for those?

So what exactly is this debate about then?

African leaders have failed the continent, it is a non-negotiable fact that we must accept.

It's for EdTech guys.

Oasis003, smart one. EdTech barely gets VC funding, worse even in Africa (and Nigeria in particular), and many of the EdTech coys have had to pivot into FinTech and the other 'lucrative' subspecialties. (You read such stories on Tech Cabal.)

It takes a well-rounded person with industry knowledge like Prof. Osinbajo to know the challenges of this subspecialty instead brushing all as tech and assuming they have the same opportunities.

I thought most of what happened in HOTD was in ASOIAF and was written by GRRM?

Or you meant to say GRRM wasn't involved in the production of the show?

I did find the show enjoyable and interesting tho. Most of the casting were perfect just like GOT.

Fire and Blood which is the source book for HOTD is not really an official part of ASOIAF. It was written separately as a backstory, and it was written differently. It didn't have the type of dialogues and detailed story telling that is seen in ASOIAF and reads more like a history book summarizing events than a novel.

It is a good show but i think more could have been done in terms of developing the characters and the storyline like was done in the first 4-5 seasons of GOT.

I thought it was the West stealing Niger's Uranium is the reason they don't have adequate power supply. Could it be that the West is also stealing the river in Congo 🇨🇩 as to why they also can't boasts of 24/7 electricity.

You know the West are the resources thieves stealing everything that would developed us.

Oh I understand now. More like the Maester telling a story. It was written in their perspectives I believe.

I hear there will be alot of time jump also in season 2 as they want to cover alot of stories instead of just focusing on the dance.
