Rugby and cricket aren't African games... Isn't even African origin...
And besides, Rugby is a winter sport... These are not African games....

Very few exposed African individuals has the idea of the game...

Rugby has two Union Bodies, one is played with 13 players while the other is played with 15 players each.

how did it determine a winner because i always saw them running with their ball or whatever and sometimes they use leg to kick it..

They are running to cross their opponent's goal line to drop the ball and score points.

During that process you see the defending team trying to get the ball from the team with the ball and it becomes physical because once your opponent crosses your goalline they already get 5 points and once that the same player drops the ball to the ground in the opponent goal line he is awarded a try which is 2 points.

So a team can score 7 points each time they cross an opponent's goal line. The team with the highest points wins the game.

While a normal Rugby game is 40 minutes each half, Rugby sevens which consist of 7 players is 7 minutes each.

Don't worry, Rugby Sevens Olympic qualifiers tournament is this month and Nigeria will partake in it. Once you watch it you will understand it. Rugby is easy to understand, the one am still trying to understand is cricket.

They kick the ball when they want to start a game at the beginning of both halves or to restart the game after points have been scored.

They also kick the ball when a penalty has been awarded or when they want to convert a TRY

Is Rugby the one that they put on big shoulder pads without helmets and when the one with the ball falls, the rest of his teammates or opponents fall on him to make a mountain or something? I always wonder how the ones under are able to breath πŸ€”

So far my country has won the rugby world cup thrice, but I know nothing about it the same way I know nothing about cricket and football... grin grin grin

But I think if I can give myself some time to understand cricket and golf, I'd eventually love them because those two sports are not noisy... They're quiet and give the person an opportunity to focus.

Last time I watched football was back in 2010 during the FIFA world cup in SA, and I only watched it because it was in SA... grin grin grin... We had long school holidays that year because of the world cup.

And funny enough, even though I don't know much about cricket and rugby, I just happen to know more SA rugby and cricket players compared to SA football players.

You are very wrong, Rugby is not a winter sport just like football.

3 weeks ago, I walked past the school (Rugby School in Warwickshire, England) where the game of Rugby in England started in 1823, they are celebrating 200 years of the game with flags of it all over the town and some students of that school where playing rugby under the sun in their various playing fields.....very expensive school, where 14 year olds are paying about N11m per term as day student. cheesy cheesy

Rugby is one Kenya's popular sports likewise South Africa.

Of course, like any other game, the winning team has to score more goals than the other playing team.

Other than that, I just see grown men chasing after a ball like little boys.

you failed to mention the most important thing when passing the ball to your team mate, your team mate the one recieving the ball has to be at an angle that he is behind the one throwing the ball aka if you are standing with your arms strethed out 180 degrees, and any degree above 180 degree towards your back is considered as proper pass, if you pass from an degree angle 180 degree forwards your front is called a forward pass then called a forward pass its a foul your lose the ball and its given to the opponet

If you look carefully every pass in rugby is given to the person behind the one who has the ball
