Please tell me how you want to hold leaders responsible other than making sure they are tried for whatever crimes they commit?

Abi oya tell us what you want me to say.
You and I know gandollar will be a free man now and forever

Na who be the una wey dey clap for Ganduje tho?

Almost everyone here also condemn Wike for the stunt he pulled in Rivers state.

I really do not know why "Holding our leaders accountable" is always scratching our balls on this thread.

Oya don't hold them accountable now. grin
Because you lots use it like it will happen
Even when we want to hold them accountable people like Bat empower them

I am waiting for the day you will come here to complain about any crime and I'll simply use your line; "They will have their day in court".

If courts were really working, would we be complaining about anything?

Or you think Gabon and Cameroun don't have courts that prosecute public officials?

It is downright hypocrisy to condemn Wike for rigging and election, and then come back again to clap for him for being a minister. At what point should we then hold him accountable?

Like i said, you better don't complain about any crime, my friend. Everybody must have their day in court.

From politicians to fraudsters, murderers to terrorists, all of us will have our day in court.

Crime is everywhere. But we don't have a system, a system 2 make crime unattractive, 2 hold leaders/citizens accountable.
Those high profile politicians with dia security convoys/motorcade wey dey blow one way 4 airport road in Abuja nko?

the system they gave us is useless, still they install/support incompetent leaders to protect the useless system.

APC chairman does not have immunity and the term limit is even 4yrs (In Ganduje case, he will use 3yrs) as there will be a National Congress to elect new principal officers for the party in 2026 before the national primaries.

Whether Ganduje will be a free man now or forever, no one knows. The state govt have to indict him first, go to court, the court will try him and if found guilty, he will be jailed.

Boko Haram and Iswap will have their days in court.

Please where did I clap for Wike for being a minister? I really dont know what you are getting at bro.

I can and will complain of any crime and it's my right to ask for criminals to have their days in court because that's the process it takes to punish offenders. Maybe you will be happy if I had suggested jungle justice for them right?

If you catch a thief red handed while he was stealing, the thief will still have to have his days in court, tried and if found guilty sentenced to prison.

How this concept is very hard for you to understand is what I dont understand.

Gandollar can't be trial
Mr Ganduje had obtained an interim order restraining the anti-corruption agency from investigating him, his family and any of his political appointees.

Such person shouldn't be power until his investigation is complete but he is the party chairman, pbat close associates

It is the same court that grant the interim order that will vacate it.

Again party chairman has no immunity, hes not holding any government position currently. Party chairmanship is not a govt appointed position. It doesn't stop the efcc or icpc from doing their job if they want to do it.

Anybody can be Pbat close associate, it doesn't exonerate them of the crimes they commit.

You can call for jungle justice if you want to but at least in our current law, for a crime to be punished, the offender has to have his days in court.

You can interpret it in whatever you want again bro. 👍

It is despicable of you to isolate a few words in my post thereby misinforming readers only to tag me a child. I never expected such from a revered fellow like you.

I asked if you are a child because you clearly don't know how international trade works

Nobody with spare refining capacity will buy your refined products. Oil is sold in barrels as raw crude as standard except the buyer does not have their own refining capacity. Even behemoths like Saudi and Russia sell raw crude. Nobody dey beg you for market, market price determines all things.

If you want refinery, you can make it a condition of tender and see who bites.

Nigeria has 3 refineries with Dangote to come on board. Even Dangote did not site his refinery in Niger Delta where the crude is lifted but set his refinery up to receive shipments in Lagos. It wouldn't matter if Dangote bought crude from Niger Delta or abroad he will still pay the market price which is currently fluctuating between $70 and $90.

It is up to you to add value to things. You can use $10m of Uranium to run a $10bln nuclear power plant, you say someone should build $10bln plant for you to buy $10m of uranium from you, when they can buy uranium elsewhere. Is that a joke?

You (Niger) don't even have capacity to run a nuclear plant nor have that much need for power, nor anywhere near the funds for yearly operational costs of a nuclear plant. Common Kainji dam already takes care of most of your power needs.

So your statement was just laughable and not worth discussing seriously, sorry if you found offence in it. I couldn't kill myself to point out obvious things.

2019 was not many years ago. U voted Buhari's APC after the colossal failure between 2015-2019

U are not in a position to be dissing people who did nothing but show online support for Buhari based on the conviction of people like u who are living in the system and "enjoyed" Buhari's administration. Those people are even better than u because they do not turn back to deny things they wrote with their hands and posted on nairaland; neither do they claim "it was many years ago"
Buhari was indeed a "mistaken messiah",who almost everyone taught would liberate us from the captivity of PDP, as at then, just like we were/are in for Obi today.

Humans/policians are uncertain,Obi might even went awry or worse than this administration...

I think don j's shouldn't be crucified for going in all for a change of power irrespective of the terms or who he chose bw 2 candidates due to his personal belief/trust......

He can only be nailed if he defended Buhari or whoever he chose even in d face of evidences.......

If Obi had won and maybe went against his promises,it would be absolutely insane to put me in whatever you dish out when I openly condemns and regret my tenacious supports...or speak the truth on his corrupt practices

Anybody can be a party chairman as long as he belongs to the party. It's not a govt position.

The restraining order from what read is till the substantive motion has been read and a judgement on it pronounced.

Na normal thing in court process for criminals to look for loopholes in the law to try and get off the hook.

Maybe. But the West isn't the reason why Ogoni boys, for example, cordoned off the Eket-Ikot Abasi - Ogoni - Eleme federal road when Goodluck began reconstruction, asking for "matching ground" and harassing CCC workers. (No, this is not an attack on them but a reference which can be easily verified.)

The Rivers State part of that road is still an eyesore a decade later. Lives and properties are being lost on alternate days due to the bad condition of the road.

The West isn't the reason why railway rails are removed and sold.

The West isn't the reason why every little provision like streetlights, electric power lines and others get vandalised and sold off for peanuts by the citizenry.

The West isn't the reason why Nigerian remote skilled service providers or workers have to surmount higher accountability hurdles than the rest of the world because our compatriots celebrate fraud as "Yahoo" or "Gee" and my nationality already sends caution bells ringing to leads, until I prove myself repeatedly otherwise.
our country not only celebrate fraud and those who engage in it, it glorifies it.
