Buhari was indeed a "mistaken messiah",who almost everyone taught would liberate us from the captivity of PDP, as at then, just like we were/are in for Obi today.

Humans/policians are uncertain,Obi might even went awry or worse than this administration...
I think don j's shouldn't be crucified for going in all for a change of power irrespective of the terms or chose bw 2 candidates due to his personal belief/trust......

He can only be nailed if he defends Buhari or what he chose even in d face of evidences.......
If Obi had won and maybe went against his promises,it is absolute insane to put me in whatever you dish out when I openly condemns and regret my tenacious supports...or speak the truth on his corrupt practices

Thanks bro. I'm striving so hard to understand what those that use that line aim to achieve.

I have asked them, are they saying that everyone who voted for APC previously should never ever criticize the party even when it's blindingly obvious that they failed?? Are they saying I should have doubled down on my support like dayo and laride today despite them failing on meeting our initial expectations?
If not, I don't understand this need to always point out that I voted for them even though I never defended their terrible policies. It's tiring and counterproductive.

Calm down. 😂

I don't even know what they are currently doing at Ikorodu garage. They seems to be expanding the road maybe to add additional BRT line and route, I don't know.

The Ikorodu line is Yellow Line (I don't know if I got that corrected). I think that will start after the Red Line is operational.

BUA CEO has promised to reduce price of Cement before end of year. According to him, he will do so to support the Government not out of fear - lifting embargo on Cement Importation by FG.

Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Trade should pressure local Rice Firms to reduce their prices too or advise PBAT to open borders for Importation.

You mean its costlier abi?

And they said it's even with the govt 50% reduction in transportation oo. So let's wait if it will be 350 on monday or 750.

If its 750, it means the intended price before the 50% reduction is 1500.

I really don't know how city metro line pricing works in other country so I can't even comment on it. Maybe our "abroadians" can give us an idea. grin

How can they reduce their price when their cost of production has gone up?

Govt shouldn't be by intimidation or strongmanship. If they cannot break even or even make profit because of the cost of production, how do you want the industry to survive when they are forced to lower their price or even compete with cheaper imported product?

The govt needs to aggressively help them cut down their cost of production which keep skyrocketing due to the many issue plaguing the economy before we start talking about fair price of goods.

Doing business is already hard enough in the country, we shouldn't make it even harder by forcing people to sell lower than what they need to sell to make profit so that the govt can look good on paper.

Apart from costlier, i feel it has no edge over our conventional buses.

The first headache for a commuter is where the Marina terminal is located.

A bus from Mile 2 has 30% of its passengers alighting at Apongbon, another 40 to 50% alighting at Oando, and the rest at Marina.

If i enter at 750, I cannot come down at Apongbon or Oando. So i have to trek shegeshiously back to my shop.

I can see the train running empty back and forth, especially during the day.

Very simple...To take Dangote’s customers.

Or you think he loves Nigerians very much?

For every one bag of BUA cement bought, Dangote sells 5. He can easily budget millions to cover the losses in the name of "Marketing "

If he reduces his price, him go thief Dangote own.

The day he will increase his price, he will not tell you.

Well let's see how it goes with BUA and the cement industry.

I don't know the price of rice in Benin republic currently but I believe it will be cheaper than ours here simply because Benin republic import most of their rice to route it to Nigeria (Infact that's how foreign rice get into the country illegally)

Thailand where they import most of these rice from has a comparative and production advantage over us. What it will take Thailand to produce a process and produce a bag of rice is not the same thing when you compare it to their Nigerian counterpact.

The local rice industry cannot compete with Thailand as their cost of production are both different. Opening up the border and allowing importation of rice once again will just surely kill off the local industry and whatever investment done and gains we have recorded in the past years will be eroded.

This post has Okpata Yarns written all over it and I will tell u why.

1. Don J did not only vote Buhari "the messiah" in 2015, He also voted Buhari in 2019 as well. That is after he has seen the disaster Buhari's first term was.

2. Maybe u don't know Don J is a well known Hypocrite on this section, or u know and U just felt the need to defend him.... I really don't know, but I can assure u that u are barking the wrong tree in this case. You said we can only "nail" Don J if he defends Buhari in the face of evidences, well see screenshot and link below showing Don J defending Buhari in 2020. We were discussing about how Buhari has refused to address the nation in critical times and ur MCM was talking about knowing the name of our councilor, LGA chairman and house of reps members. Even Abroadians wey he dey always diss no dey do that kind gaslighting.

https://www.nairaland.com/920248/official-chelsea-fan-thread-champions/10171#95139064

3. Maybe u don't know why most people don't take him serious here; It's because he's unstable more than some elements like uranium and plutonium

4. All these anti-APC crusade he embarked on started post ENDSARS(2021- 2022). There are people who have been speaking against the government and trying to hold them accountable while he was Buhari's biggest supporter. He is not in a position to be shouting people down or calling them names in his new found crusade. He should live and let live so we can all live happily ever after cool

Oga na the lies the big man tell you be that…

Ask them to provide evidence to back their claims of high production…

Things are way cheaper in Nigeria before now…

Land for example is cheaper when compared to Thailand…

Our people are just wicked…..

How come Indomie produced by foreigners was very cheap when compared with prices abroad..

The Nigerian man is just wicked….

Do you mind mentioning on comparative advantage Thialand has over us when it come to rice farming?

The bolded is exactly what happened.

Anyone can be forgiven for voting Buhari in 2015. The difference here is that he voted for him again in 2019. Everyone knew Buhari was a failure and not the Messiah we all thought two years into his first term.

We had people like Sowore and Kingsley Moghalu on the Ballot but he didn't vote for them. Whether they would have won is irrelevant. The point is that he had a choice and he still voted for Buhari.

Can you now see the hypocrisy when he calls out people who voted for Tinubu?
