Yes he probably shouldn't have lowered it himself but he did speak to her politely as he was doing it explaining why. Someone with enough tact even if you want to increase it maybe he reduced it too low will likely increase it a bit not to the highest. That's just madness and provocative. Its a dirty attitude.
