That is probably because he is aware the main reason many Nigerian marriages continue to exist has to do with the fact that they are mainly propped up by the women; the men might as well be considered roommates who sometimes pay the bill in such marriages.

Because for the uneducated folks most times their options are limited financially so it pays them to be together more especially the female.

Where you take see them? Did you know that marriage/spousal abandonments --- the Nigerian norm as far as divorce ---- happens more to uneducated women than to educated ones in marriage? And are you aware that right there in Nigeria, the abandonment rate is as high as divorce rates in advanced countries. ---could be even higher since we don't really track these things much in the country.

The non educated ones don't have standards so they accept any thing that comes around and don't usually argue because they are not educated enough to start arguing on what they don't know about. They plan on what they nerd to sustain each day because of their financial capacity.
Inflation and economics situation is not what they should be arguing about because they don't know the indices

The reason behind the divorce and the aggrieved party should be put into consideration will debating on the reason why marriage do not last on the part of educated couple.

If cheating was the cause, some wife could accept it but husband will never accept it because he believes that the woman belongs solely to him, even if he has side chick. Therefore, the marriage ends.
Some educated wives are greedy, they compare all husband, in that if they lack something the some other wives got, they would be pressurized their husbands to do more, and that could lead to the end of the marriage if the husband fail to achieve her desire in a stated period of time on the other hand patience is characterized with uneducated wives .

Because education is just a small section of life. It is not that required for happiness, love, marriage, worship, faith etc. School education is mostly required for a job. Couples try to bring in their school education and job experience into their marrage, which results in problems mostly.
A marriage needs submission, love, forgiveness, joy, trust and most times God for it to function properly and last longest. These things are not gotten from school but the opposite.
