Another blunder from that excerpt is that the writer claims he was rightly informed by a friend who is a professor in the college. Who in their right mind would believe such unverifiable source? No name, no identification!
Thirdly, in an attempt to cause confusion and deflect from the main issue, the writer kept juggling and mixing the previous names of the school. Those are public information and irrelevant in this context. The change of school name does not add any new information or clarity to the issue, within the context of this matter.

Was this a simple verification check or an attempt to verify other information that skirts the boundaries of privacy laws? What concerns Atiku with crosschecking diplomas issued by the university in its entire history? Trump claimed that he graduated with honors from Penn, The press wanted so badly to get their hands on his records because they know that he lies a lot. The school has refused to give them up. The same way they tried to get his tax records, but he refused. The Congress had to go to court before they were given access to his tax records after many years of litigation.
In the US there are laws that guide such information. The schools, hospitals, IRS, and others CANNOT give out anyone's information unless that person gives them the authorization.
Try and educate yourself on issues before making such comments next time.
