This is not true for the whole state, maybe for some communities. We have so many boreholes in my community and vast majority of my local govt. The main means of water supply is water Tankers

The issue affecting most communities is Enugu is not something to laugh about. Several attempts have been made in lots of communities to dig boreholes but they return dark water and water filled with minerals like coal, ore and gas in large volumes.
Enugu is also sitting on a hill and most parts are several meters above water level, this makes it hard to drill water to reach the water table.

Attempts are currently being made to introduce irrigation system from places with abundant water to places with none. This issue shall pass too.

Weeks ago I read where the state government announced the completion of the first phase of pumped water distribution, in Enugu east.
Allow those that want to wail to wail to their satisfaction, enjoy your state.

In the South East really, Clean water has always been an issue

It is no doubt that Enugu state is cursed with barren land. The state has one of the highest poverty rate and lowest literacy rate in Nigeria, but one of the major problems of the state more especially the state capital is lack of portable drinking water. Anambra and delta states are the source of portable drinking water in Enugu .

Below is how most people in Enugu source their drinking water because most of them cannot afford expensive portable drinking water that’s imported from Anambra and delta states

This just a village stream. People always go there to swim for fun and also some would want to fetch home water basically for watching clothes from the calm and purer part of the flowing river. All the villages in Nigeria and Africa usually have some streams or small rivers where locals always go to to enjoy their little nature.


People very close to those village rivers would always want to get some water from it. They can use the river water for watching nd fetch bore hole water for cooking, drinking nd sorts.


The picture you attached is even from a clean river. You lots should stop disgracing your families in the name of tribalism .

There's no way you can measure dick with that state and state you came from. Igbos generally are not your mates.

I've small stream in my village too. During festive times, we all park out cars to swim nd catch fun while others closer to de river goes to calm part nd fetch der waters

Not really all part of Enugu that there's no water, if u go to 9th mile there's water there in abundant ,just like someone writely stated u had found companies like Nigerian bottling ,aquafina,aqua Rafa and Nigeria brewery.
While most areas depend on tankers to buy drinkable water and this extends far into ebonyi state.
