For MS in Germany, so many schools i'm researching are asking for English Language test. Please is this a common occurrence or am i not checking the right schools? I'm going for an English-taught MSc related to Agriculture / Agribusiness and Food processing. Also some schools are asking for tuition fee. |

Yes. You can book your appointment before getting admission. Appointment takes over 18months, so, you would have gotten admission within this period. All the best naeo: 2 Likes |

Hi guys. I graduated with 4.5+ (first class), that qualifies me to be in category A, though I haven't started making applications due to some personal reasons. Whats really bothering and discouraging me now is the issue of block account. I don't really have that amount of money to block and I don't have anyone that can help . And most of the well known scholarships offered by the country requires German fluency, 2 years work experience which I don't have. Does anyone know any university that offers funding with admission in the country, iam ready to work through that. And if anyone has any idea on how I can go about it please should help. Thank you. |

Vincent243: When is your semester starting? |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by MrAAA2: 2:37pm On Sep 06, 2023 |
baqirshuayb: Unfortunately for you to get funded, you will need to be admitted first. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Erasmus(+), other countries like US, Australia and Canada. Tuition is free in Germany, what you are seeking for is not very common except for DAAD scholarship and a few others. 1 Like |

Vincent243: It's too close. You have two options, move your studies to Winter next year. Wait time is currently over 1 year 6 months. If you booked last month, you probably might miss out the winter Semester next year. Move your studies to summer/winter next year - go to Benin, get a PR, and apply after 6 months or get a scholarship. |

baqirshuayb: There are a lot of scholarships in Germany against next year enrollment that does not require two years work experience and German fluency. Even if it's an internship in naija try and get so u have like six months work experience no matter d size of d company. U can check DAAD and mystipendium.de websites. But frankly speaking there's no way I will finish with a first class and not apply for more than 50 scholarships in the USA, Australia, Uk, New Zealand etc. and not get one. Don't just limit yourself to Germany alone and do a lot of research on scholarships 3 Likes |

Tsesi:Thanks man. I just love Europe, particularly Germany that's why I focus my attention there. But I will try other countries if this one doesn't work out. |

Hepzeeeebah: Yes, it's common for schools to ask for that. But, sometimes, they can accept a letter from your university stating that you learnt in English. Email the school to find out specifically. Yes, private schools have tuition fees and some courses in some private schools also have tuition fees. But, recently, there's been talk from universities in Bavaria that they want to re-introduce tuition fees for students from third-world countries. It all depends on what and where you're searching 1 Like |

Please house, I really need your advice here. My husband is 52 years and he wants to apply for masters in Germany. He has a GPA of 3.0 and a fail in Mathematics in his WAEC. He has like 20 years work experience in media though, he doesn't work there anymore. He has a sister who has been in Germany for over 30 years who wants to sponsor him. Please house, what are his chances? Does he need to do any additional exam? His he too old for the program? Is he too old to be sponsored by his sister? Please house, I really need your thoughts and advise on this! |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Tsesi: 5:41pm On Sep 07, 2023 |
ultra100: While I may not be too knowledgeable here, getting admission will also depend on how competitive his course is. He can also try private universities. The WAEC fail in maths should not be a problem as long as he passed English Language. A better option will be to use his work experience and try the job seeker visa or get a work contract from Germany and go through the work visa. Just my thoughts 1 Like |
