IcecoldDon:==========โ========================= No, I didn't get a laptop. He goes to the club twice a week and he has access to their computers. The software they use is tailor made for kids and not the adult version we all know (else kids will be bored๐). They teach them the same concept though as they would be able to, with time, use it in adult version. No need for laptop. 2 Likes |

Good afternoon guys, Please help answer this question for me. Please what is the latest fee for ihs and skilled worker Visa fee. From those who applied like last week? Has the new rate they said the uk government plan to implement started? Thanks guys |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Lilipo: 12:51pm On Sep 05, 2023 |
kasillars:=================================== Yes, you can. Contact you council and let them know you just moved to the area with your family. They will try to put your child in a school (not necessarily your preferred choice). If you have a preferred school, ask to be put on the wait list. They will contact you once a space becomes available. Goodluck. 3 Likes |

hustla: =========================== Oh! That's a shame. I thought they were expanding recently and covered Birmingham. @OP, if you struggle to find a physical one, I know an online one which your son can start with until you find a face to face one? I tried them with my son, I liked the content but my boy wasn't keen on online, he preferred face to face (which of course is more expensive, I was looking for cheaper option, lol) so we kept with F2F. If you are interested, will dig out their details. 2 Likes |

Mumibaby: This is not true. PSW takes average of 6 weeks decision time. Haven't heard of anyone who applied and got decision in a week not to talk of 24 hrs |

LORETA:Yes apply on your council site amd they will give your child next available school but if you want the one close to you apply to be on waiting list and he will change from the one he is attending to the new one once his name is out 1 Like |

Mine isn't keen about the online as well, but I don't mind having a look at any details you can send across. What is the name of the F2F that your son is on now? Is there a similar one in Birmingham? Lilipo: 1 Like |

Afternoon all, I'm looking to relocate to the greater Manchester area early next year. There's a lot of information online but thought I'd ask the house if there's any area one should consider or areas to avoid due to work opportunities etc. In life I believe shared experiences can make one avoid some regrets later so any tips would be appreciated. |

Has anyone travelled out of UK as a student during term-time with no issues. I am looking to take one month for my dads burial but school is saying they can give me only two weeks. I am on my dissertation which doesnt require physical attendance in school. |

gerrald02:You dont really need to be in the cities ( that is where the best opportunities lies ) because it can be very expensive (excess of 1k ) to get a decent accommodation . The transportation system in Greater manchester is ok to get you where you want to be if you plan yourself well so you can s .What you need is to be around people you can identity with to get the necessary connections and network so as to get access to informations . 2 Likes |
