Why cant Reno fact check anything? Ironsi was killed July 29th, but Reno think Gowon released Awolowo 3 days later?

I dont think Even Reno Omokiri knows that Gowon was briefly detained at Ikeja barraks following the killing of Ironsi

So how could Gowon have released Awolowo within 3 days of the death of Ironsi when most didnt even know Ironsi was dead?

According to awolowo himself, ironsi was the one that approved the release of awolowo, ojukwu was the one that executed it, being in charge of eastern region, gowon caused the security situation that delayed awolowo's release.
