In medical science, if a patient presents to me and says, "Oh, I have a big hump on my back, please cut it off" and has no such hump, do I say, "Oh there is no physical evidence of the presence of this hump, however, let me assume there may be a hump since we can't see it physically but spiritually it may be there"? No. Why? Because science(medical science in this case) doesn't care about your spiritual bullshit. I can bundle that patient to the psyche ward and manage him for schizophrenia.
