Like they've said, you will struggle in places like Ontario and maybe Calgary-cos I saw a video of people lining up to inspect a condo apartment in Calgary, obviously rent will hut the roof- with that amount. But in Edmonton where I am, with that 10m you can rent a 2 bedroom for 1yr sef, better still u are a couple with no kids, one bedroom suitable, you will rent that one yr with little change. There are 1bedroom of $900- $1000
When I was renting, I paid $1350 for my two bedroom condo, and I have a friend who is currently paying $1300 for 3bedroom condo here in Edmonton. So location matters.

We just want to start small (basically everything to leave naija)

We are looking at going through study route - a 2year diploma course, then build life from there so, no Toronto or big expensive cities

I got EE directly without PNP at the age of 42, married with with 3 kids. I had masters, over 10 years experience and I know French. So it must NOT be via PNP.

Some people had one year Canadian experience and got it at 43 even without French.

Again, do not mislead people. Do not make categorical statements when they are wrong. I got EE at 42 and people older than me have got it.

Do not demoralise people on here. Getting EE in your forties is possible and so people of that age brackets should feel encouraged. It is harder but possible as I can confirm.

They need to hear success stories and not doom and gloom info.

EE can work with French category. Very easily.

That's EE with someone who's married and even 44 years of age, but with French and with sibling in Canada. Total score 476. With the recent French draws, that's an easy ITA.

I doubt anyone can get EE at this age unless the person isn't the principal applicant(younger spouse) or trade/specific profession or PNP to EE.At age 43, you only get 17points for age. No matter how much you have in IELTS, or highest education or work experience or even a sibling in Canada.At best low 400s in points.There's a job offer or PNP somewhere to crank up that score, or the just recently introduced specific draws(like bilingualism) for it to work.

Most 43year olds will hardly meet these requirements.

Is bilingual not EE? Why should that be left out? EE has been redefined since the golden days of the 2018-2020 when only 20-year-olds with masters stood a chance. Now, category draws make it even more possible for people who wouldn't have qualified in those golden days. It's still EE; it's no different.

Then narrating how life is over there. The facts people must know about living in Canada even the ones they don't want to hear.

Which car insurance did you use when you started? Which ones gave you the most reasonable rates? Did the insurance companies take into account driving history from your countries. From searches I have made so far, only economical insurance recognises driving history from abroad. Do you know of any others that take driving history into account?

Also I hope you guys use the Canoo app. You get to visit a host of locations free of charge as permanent residents. We have visited the Toronto zoo a couple of times with the whole family and only pay for parking (15 CAD). A visit to the zoo for us family without the app is like 80 CAD or there about.

We will make some dashcams......

You did great,except that it seems you messed up on the Reading section.From every indication you can do much better,and the score you had on Reading was just an odd occurrence.I advise you retake it.You'll get that golden score.It'll do so much good to your whole journey.
