This is my first post from this new account, I lost access to my old email. I know so many are asking questions about how expensive tuition fees are. This post is meant to answer some of those questions. 1. The tuition fees printed on your admission letter do not cover Health insurance, compulsory fees and Miscellaneous fees, etc. (it’s always higher). 2. If you defer your admission to a new academic calendar year, be sure that your fees will increase. 3. Note that fees here are billed per credit; the average credit required for a 2-year master’s program is 45. Below is a breakdown of my fees. Summer Term Tuition (8 credits) = $5,320 Compulsory Fees = $309 Miscellaneous Fees = $15 Health Plan = $450 Student Association Fees = $16 Total Credits = 8 Term Subtotal = $6,110 Fall Term Tuition (9 credits) = $5,985 Compulsory Fees = $520 Miscellaneous Fees = $17 Health Plan = $1,344 Student Association Fees = $110 Total Credits = 9 Term Subtotal = $7,976 Winter Term Tuition (12 credits) = $7,980 Compulsory Fees = $614 Miscellaneous Fees = $0 Health Plan = $0 Student Association Fees = $19 Total Credits = 12 Term Subtotal: $8,613 Total credits for completion = 45 Total credits taken = 29 (16 credits left until graduation) The total amount paid = $22,699 1 Like |

If you indicate that you are working, a salary account is essential to show complete proof of your work status. An employment letter or id is not enough except you explain to the VO the action taken

|

Hello house, please I will need your kind response.... I applied for a PGD program in Conestoga, got LOA for MAY intake but yet to accept before paying the 1500$... I want to know if it is a requirement to pay the first semester tuition fee before getting a study visa... |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bytecode: 9:57pm On Sep 12, 2023 |
It's not. But it's good to pay if you can. Also check your admission condition. Normally conestoga will require you to pay the remainder of your first term tuition by certain date usually before your start date to keep your spot in the class. So you might as well have plans on how you will the first term tuition now mcnero: 1 Like |

zubizareta:Thanks , They are ready to provide all these except payslip as we don't have payslip and also no tax clearance certificate and they are not willing to drop registration documents, what if they deposit a lump sum into my account and do a gift deed will that be better than the later option which is sponsorship because I can't get all the documents you listed. Thanks |

Hello house I'm about to apply for a visa all my proof of funds is in my Nigerian account I am based in Europe I have provided all necessary documents is it important to also include my salary account here as there is no money inside I have moved everything back to my Nigerian account ...is it important to add an empty account but at least it shows inflow of monthly salary? @Bullstriker @Nora064 , @buyaka @zubizareta |

@Maxyboss212 All looks good, however I would suggest you pay atleast a semester or a year tuition. Yes you don't have to, but it doesn't harm too. It will rather help strengthen your application package, especially when your are self sponsored. |

There is no fixed amount for the proof of funds. Having said that, the minimum amount depends on the purpose of the visit. If they are coming to stay for the duration of your program, they must show funds for flight and living expenses. The living expenses for your spouse and 3 kids are 4k and 9k (3k per child), respectively, plus the flight cost. I suggest you add an extra couple of dollars to cover miscellaneous expenses, such as the cost of transportation in Canada. Your kids should apply for a study permit if they are of school age As per Canadian Immigration policy, your mum is not one of the family members you can bring to Canada as an international student. However, you can issue your mother a letter of invitation to apply for a visitor visa. Still, just like every other application, she must demonstrate the purpose of the visit, her intention to return, and that she has sufficient funds to support her travel to Canada. For her to stand a better chance of getting approval, detail your mother’s strong ties to Nigeria, especially if she has no travel history. Mum’s POF must include the cost of her return flight. buyaka: 1 Like |

juliusocean:I believe @zubizareta has answered you. Use the account as proof of employment rather than proof of funds by highlighting your salary and showing the trail from the account to your naira account. A 2-3 months statement will suffice. |

ahyotomiwa:Hi ahyotomiwa, The acceptance letter has no fees stated on it. I only got to know about the school fees from the school website. And the fees depend on how many credit hour I am willing to take in a term.. so I don't know how much I am paying exactly |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by zubizareta(m): 6:55am On Sep 13, 2023 |
oloyemeji:If they aren't willing to drop cac certificate and tax clearance certificate then they can't be a worthy sponsor. Whether they sponsor you or not, you must submit your payslip as long as you claim you are working and have been earning salaries. So better work towards getting payslips and attach to your application so as to avoid a very fast refusal So who is depositing a lump sum to you? An individual from the company or the company as an entity? Whichever one, the CAC certificates and receipts, POs, invoices, quotes etc as applicable to them must be submitted to justify the source of the funds. Finally, you must add your payslips |
