There is no defined timeline for visa processing. However, your passport will be kept by you during the application process.

Same here, I submitted yesterday at VFS Lagos no message up till now.

And also my passport was taken from me during the process but I'm scared of them keeping it for so long because I have another application to make soon

They collected your passport They did not collect my passport o also are you frequent traveler or a first time traveler
They returned mine. And funny enough the website to track application is not functioning

If
your account statement was downloaded online, you should take it to the bank for physical stamping, irrespective of attaching a reference.

I submitted a hardcopy application at VFS on Friday, and was asked to go to my bank to stamp my statement, even though I attached a reference letter. Mind you, this would be my 8th SA visa (the last one expired five days ago). This people no send you o.

I had no choice than to come here and drop this. whatever issues you are currently encountering with your visas, compile a detailed mail and send to them following address. I hope this will do and be very helpful to many of you here.

And I often called VFS global office in Lagos, to follow up. The last time I called, I was told it could take up to two months before I get a reply. The online tracking kept displaying " your application is received and under assessment at the South Africa High Commission in Lagos".

This is to report that hacc@dha.gov.za gives a timely response to queries. I wrote to them on 12/09/2023 and received a response today.

General/ Government Hospitals are preferable. I did mine at Ikeja General Hospital.
