Augrere2022: First you don't make mistake of comparing a visit visa to study visa as the POF of the later is more scrutinized. Also, if you sell a property, you don't necessarily have to hold the proceeds of sales for 4 months in your account. It's advisable to demonstrate the availability of those funds as solely for study by using part of it to make an expense for your study either part of tuition payment balance or GIC. However, some have submitted and gotten approval without showing this demonstration of availability though keeping the money in your account for an extended period also helps your case as it technically demonstrates its availability. However, I think the person you are responding to meant duration of statement of account of 4 months imo. Finally, what these VOs basically check out are: Healthy opening balance Sufficient closing balance Volatile balances (sharp change in balances in the acct at different periods say for example, u have an opening bal of 7m in May then around June, the bal go as low as 100,000 then suddenly boost to 10million within next 1 month and closer to date of your submission). That's heavy volatile balance and VO can doubt the availability of the funds. When your SOA doesn't satisfy the 3 points higlited above, especially first and 3rd, best you can do is demonstrate availability of those funds by making an expense for your education and also make sure you explain in details the lump sums and attach supporting docs. 5 Likes |

JDB55: Based on the individual's educational and professional background as a Doctor of Optometry and Medical Officer, here's a suggestion for a 1-year Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) program in Canada: Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Management or Health Administration at a Canadian College. This program would be suitable for someone with a healthcare background looking to enhance their skills in healthcare management, leadership, and administration. It can provide valuable knowledge and skills for those interested in pursuing managerial roles within healthcare organizations. Await more response from others 1 Like |

Hello everyone I've been silent after I got delayed in 2021 but somehow I got the motivation to reapply and this time on my own. A family friend applied previously for me(who is not different from an agent) but I just want to ask can I create a new GC keys or I have to request for the details of the old one and use that? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by zubizareta(m): 9:51pm On Sep 14, 2023 |
Bunmijab: If you don't have access to previous GC Keys login then you can create new one. Fill the UCI in the immigration forms and the new portal will be updated with all your details 2 Likes |

Canada released 2022 Study permit application refusal and approval statistics for Africans . It’s a shame that South Africans and most other countries do not migrate like Nigerians. If the hardship in nigeria hasn’t become unbearable, it doesn’t really worth it coming to canada for many. It is tough out here cost of living is so high and difficult to get High paid jobs. Many are homeless and sleeping in shelter homes and going to food bank everyday.only If nigeria can become great again. Our past leaders should be ashamed of themselves . 1 Like

Thank you very much ZUBIZARETA for the good work you are doing here, God almighty will perfect all that concerns you bro. Well what I noticed is that if someone lack of documentation to backup his claim that the propose study funds is raised from the sales of property and no details explanation of lump sums in the bank account is Red flag. Also, if someone hold the proceeds of sales for months in his bank account without explain in details the lump sums and backed with documents to proof it doesn't count anything. Because the funds I used for proof of funds apart from my Sponsor's bank statement and little funds in my salary account I submitted, I opening my new account with N1,000 and the lump sums was transferred to the account on day 3, then printed the bank statement on day 4, still got my student visa approved. In an event like this I make sure I left no stone untouched I explained the lump sums in details in my SOP&LOE, then backed it up with documents related to the property ( from first generation to the last ) I hope this help someone Augrere2022: 3 Likes |

Gentlesoul3268: Amen.. Yes, just I said earlier, some people have done that Here I mean sending lump sum close to date of submission and still got approval. Truth is this things basically rely on how you word your SOP and the VO handling the case. The best way to usually checkmate this is demonstrating the availability of the funds makking an expense. In conclusion, supporting docs as you said is one of the most important and how you use your SOP to convince the VO. In all, na to enter prayers once you submit application. 1 Like |

Please my first study application was refused due to not properly explained lump sums. It is a two years course with option of completing in one year if I forgo the Co-op part of the program. My first application was before naira devaluation by Tinubu. So even if I properly explain the lump sums, my funds won’t be enough for the two years option of my program at the current exchange rate. So I am thinking of reapplying for one year study permit for the same program instead of two years for the refused application. It is for the same program. My available funds is enough for only one year. Please can that cause a red flag and lead to another refusal? |
