Yes, you read what CSU posted correctly. A certificate (the paper the diploma is printed on) is ceremonial not honorary. It's just decoration for offices and for you to celebrate your achievement. This is not peculiar to CSU alone.

What matters most is that you graduated and not forged what you never had.

Sorry, I don't follow politicians, I only like organic facts, non genetically modified facts. If the certificate is ceremonial, it cannot have transcript. Please can you show me where the school took responsibility for the errors in Tinubu's certificate. I want to see it. The last response, their lawyer said he cannot sworn an oat to say the error was from the school but later claimed the Diploma certificate was just ceremonial. As that result to taking responsibility please?

The point is regardless of any error, the main subject of Atiku's enquiry,IMO, is to compel CSU to produce BAT's certificate , to prove that he graduated from the school or otherwise. Any case of discrepancies can only be filed in a Nigerian court not US court as the Perjury charge can only be in the context of Nigerian court/INEC process (where he "Supposedly filed" certificate with discrepancies under oath)

Have you looked keenly on the transcript posted on this thread having same discrepancies, the date of birth of Tinubu on the transcript is reading 1954 while Tinubu's INEC form date of birth reads 1952. You will equally see that his sex on the transcript bears female. Thankfully, the university had agreed that "it could be human mistakes" but vehemently refused to swear on oath in court to sanctify his claims.
The university just trying to play save as not be sanction by the US authority for such monumental error. But let us see how they will wiggle their way out of this in a system that works like US.
If they own up to the error, it is a big problem for them, it means lack of competence and it will reduce the rating of the university but if they deny the errors to have emanated from them, Tinubu will be in big soap. Let us see what will happen as the judge gives final decision.

Mr. Man, I don't think any reasonable person feigned ignorance of Tinubu's attendance from CSU. I for one know that he attended the school and graduated but the foul play I am sending, is that Tinubu might have gotten his CSU certificate through the backdoor. Tinubu claimed the discrepancies was from the university's clerk while the university claimed it might die to human error but funnily the clerk or the human that committed the error is yet to be mentioned in all the sittings.
But also remember that the same school claimed they cannot authenticate the certificate with Tinubu.
Let us wait patiently how the school will wiggle their way out of this monumental mess that one of their students has put them in and also praying fervently that the court doesn't validate the release of Tinubu's records.

Please do you people always read news at all. It was said that after Mr. Caleb's statement, he was asked to oath it but he refused. He knows the enormity of entering oath of what he cannot successfully defend. The school is just trying to play safe on this matter, they are going back and forth. In one breadth, they say they cannot authenticate the certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC and in another length, they claimed it was just a ceremonial certificate and can be gotten from vendor. But the person holding the certificate claimed it was the university's clerk mistake while the university claimed it could be human error but they could not be factual in their statement whether the human mistake was from them or the vendor they claimed.
Let us just keep tab as the drama unfolds.
